Worst experience ever….. Entered restaurant and was seated in corner. Waited 15min or more with menus, no one came to greet us or even acknowledge us sitting there, not even drinks. Waitresses walked by and looked and took on tables that entered after us. I then went to bar to order a drink, the bar tender then brought my drink and took our order. She noticed nobody acknowledged us sitting there and said not sure what was going on. People were sat after us and they were already getting their drinks, etc. Not one waitress approached us the whole time. There was at least 3/4 waitresses so they were not unstaffed for amount of people there. It was very unprofessional and rude. If it wasn’t for the sweet bartender we would have never received service, she even came from behind bar to check in us. It’s a disgrace that we were ignored the whole time. I understand it’s a country club, but we were paying customers as well, our money spends the same. The manager brought us our food out and she had to been fully aware of us not being treated like a paying customer. We left and we’re ignored walking out , had to pay our bill at bar. I’m in shock of how that place is ran, if you’re not a familiar face you’re treated like you’re nobody and ignore your services. I will never return to a place that doesn’t treat others fairly. Beware guys….. if your not a regular you will be seated and ignored. They only acknowledge the regular faces. With the world we live in, treat everyone with kindness. The manager should be talked to, she is fully aware or if not she clearly is not doing her job. She took an order herself and knew we were sitting there with no drinks. The...
Read moreBrowns - Went to watch the Cleveland Browns game. Toqua Bar & Grill is listed on the Browns Backers website as an official browns backers bar (listed as "Noble Dawgs of Tellico Village"). This is completely false/inactive. We asked the waitress where the Browns fans are, they said it's never been a Browns bar (Browns Backers website says it has been a Browns backers bar since 2019). I asked if they could play the game audio on the TV, and I was told no. Do not go if you are wanting to watch the Browns. The manager said that usually some Browns fans come on Sundays to watch the game. Well, we were there, on a Sunday, when the browns played, and not a single other Browns fan could be seen. It would not matter if they did show up, they don't play the TV audio.
Service - Waitress was short with her words, and felt rushed the entire time. The service in general was slow as molasses. They chose to substitute the Southern hospitality with cold attitude. A group of guys sitting behind could be overhead giving similar comments to each other.
Food - The food was very sub par.
Atmosphere - for such a nice looking golf course, you'd think they'd update interior.
Overall - I would not recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreI would say if this place would manage staff a little better it could be awesome. First interaction was with the hostess, no people skills, possibly under the influence the way she presented to me. Was there on 10/4 around 530pm. Then our server Anthony very polite and respectful but even admits to have a forgetful mind. Not a good thing for being a server. The food for the most part was fair. My daughters meal was burnt and my meal was Luke warm with over cooked green beans. The place has a beautiful view over the golf course and has great potential if they can get staff up to par. Will try again later to see if they can get...
