First time at this ‘NEW’ location, and wasn’t great as expected. First off when I walked in, no one greeted me….I stood there for about maybe 6 mins with a lot of workers walking by and not one person greeted me, now I did notice the difference in a minority to rest of the people there. But the looks I got was ridiculous, really. There was the host helping two people by me and she didn’t even say “hi” or “I’ll be with you soon sir.” Just looked at me and kept on doing her thang. Now two other workers were behind the podium and she came up and just looked at me as well. With no greeting or any type of engagement with the customer at all. Now this is late off to a bad start, but I’ve been to the Mesa location many times and this was never the case there. Which I gave the benefit of the doubt. Finally after 6 mins went by. The host final came over and didn’t apologize or ask how I was doing. Straight to the point, how many people and name and number, here your wait time, boom that’s it. We waiting 30mins and got a table. The server Camille was nice and welcoming. But I believe she was also the bar tender which made sense to why we missed drink refills that were requested, missed an appitizer we ordered, and when we needed her she was no where to be found. Then I noticed she was behind the bar serving and making drinks. I thought that was very unusual. My kiddo spilled water and once again no one around, we cleaned it up ourselves. Other severs brought our food and just placed it down and left, didn’t ask if we needed anything m. When our server did come it was hard to get her attention again because she was behind the bar. I tried the Catfish po boy, was very bland and the only flavor was the Cajun May, which the sandwhich needed more of. But by the time she came back I didn’t feel like asking for a side of the Cajun mayo because of how long service was taking. Big differences in the service and food quality wise than the Mesa Location. And the restrooms were very awful and unattended. The sewer smell was bad! By wife and daughters were grossed out and said we don’t want to come back here again. Angry Crab Shack in Mesa is where we will be going from now on. Big disappointment in this “NEW” establishment. One star would be my review but the server was very nice just not able to provide the optimum service that I knew she could have if she was not also...

Service: Our servers Diana and Jennifer were very kind and tentitive. However the overall demeanor of the surrounding staff ( busser/host) was very miserable and passive aggresive. Host's seemed very annoyed in tone and demeanor at our mere existence.
Food: Poor. We ordered a seafood boil for two. Raw oyesters. Burger, wings, chicken tenders and corn dogs for our 4 kids. We frequent The Angry Crab and this visit was the lowest of quality in terms of food and service (not including our servers)
THE PROBLEM: My daughter was 1/2 way through her burger when she bit into and almost swallowed a large sharp white piece of plastic. This was hard thick sharp jagged plastic about an inch long and wide and a quarter inch thick. We informed the closest staff memeber (who happened to be the busser/ host) and he acted like I had just ruined his whole life by simply asking for some assistance. Our waitress came and took the burger immediately and got the manager. The manager offered his apologies and to give our kids free dessert. While this was appreciated the comment was made that "after they inspected the burger they had NO IDEA where it came from as they had NOTHING in the kitchen that looked like the plastic." I could be wrong but in the moment it felt like an insinuation that WE placed the plastic in her burger in hopes of free food.
We got the check, they comped the dessert and my daughters burger.
Our bill was around $212 and we tipped $25.
I feel as though given the severity of the choking hazard and foreign object found in our daughters food that there should have been more sense of sincerity and urgency from the manager and that slightly more compensation on the bill would have been the right thing to do as mine and my husbands appetites were lost half way through our meal.
I just want to reiterate that our servers Diana and Jessica were very kind and do not want that fact lost in the negativity of this review.
The manager was kind as well but the comments that were made gave me a very unsettling feeling and I got the impression that to avoid responsibility for the hazard that a picture was trying to be painted that we were food...
Read more*DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION Mesa or even Buckeye location is wayyyy better!!! Me and my friend been to different locations of Angry Crab before but never this one. I would not recommend this location. Our original server (Sami) was EXCELLENT. Great customer service, good listener, kept checking to see if we were ok or needed anything. I barely had any sauce in my bag and asked her for another bag with just sauce so I can dip my food in. That wasn't a problem at all. So I guess her shift was over and she had to leave in the middle of our service. She said her goodbyes & handed us off to Erika who had a bad attitude to begin with. I tasted my sauce with a piece of potato and shrimp and it was extremely salty. So I asked for different sauce. The manager comes saying no matter how many bags she give me, it's going to be the same. Ok, well I need a different sauce because it's too salty. Erika brings me a cup of butter sauce. So I explained to her that I need a bag of sauce for all of my food (about 5 or 6 lbs of food) not just a cup. She explain to me that's how they ring up extra sauce. But at this point, I don't want extra sauce, I need my sauce replaced for an edible sauce. She rolling her eyes and her whole body language was terrible. The manager come back also with an attitude saying they can take all my food, rinse it off and pour the 1 cup of butter sauce over it. What?? No!!! She literally walked away in the middle of me explaining to her that's not enough sauce to cover everything. They refused to just give me a bag of sauce for my food, so I had them to cancel my entire order. I can't believe they lost a customer and an almost $200 bill plus tip over some butter sauce. I asked them to get a hold of SAMI because i wanted to give her $100 tip but they refused said they can't bother her off the clock. Then i asked was she working tomorrow and was told we can't give out employees schedules. I'm livid!! I'm going to try to go back tomorrow to see if i can connect with her. Erika and the manage have bad attitudes & need to be retrained on customer service!!! They lost a GREAT tipping customer. (Wish I could...
