ATL Wings — Restaurant in Tempe

I LOVE ATL WINGS! All locations! But my visit to the latest to open in the AZ area (Tempe - Kyrene/Warner) was the first time I have ever been dissatisfied. I had been waiting for weeks when I saw them working on the location for them to officially open. They finally did! I work right across the street so this was going to be my new work wing spot. I placed the order and was told that to order over the phone I need to pay then and not at pickup. OK Great! I showed the card I used at pickup. I showed my ID for the card which was THOROUGHLY inspected. Ok fine. They just want you safe I guess and no chance of a charge-back dispute. Understood. I got my 12 piece and fries. I walked to the car and couldn't wait to taste because I LOVE ATL WINGS! Fries? ICE COLD. Like from yesterday cold. Ran back in to get another ranch because there was only one and I was told it would be 81¢ - I said ok and got my card. I then asked why is it that I would get one ranch if I had ordered a 6 piece, but also I get only one for a 12 piece. The nice young girl who had taken my payment and complimented my nails minutes earlier replied. "I dont make the rules." That rubbed me the wrong way. First because it was obvious she wasn't in charge so why state the obvious? And second and most importantly. That's not great service from a new establishment who NEEDS my business to be successful. I ignored her and decided not to match her rude tone. I asked her also if the fries are normally served cold. Her reply was "no but you took too long to come get it". I just rolled my eyes because I knew they told me 15-20 minutes and I work across the street. I went straight there. I did not delay. They served cold fries. I asked her who was in charge and she replied "Ms Lynn.

Dear Ms Lynn. She sucks. And so did the fries. I was not late. Because I couldn't wait. Offering me a free biscuit for a five star review is a terrible bribe. If you had said fresh fries I would have taken the bait. Please note: this as an opportunity to improve.

At first I decided I wanted wings for Super Bowl and searched for wings around my area. I was smack in the middle of two ATL locations. I’ve hit both locations since January and both they have great quality wings. But regarding my last order Tempe location. I attempted to order them via Uber eats for a little get together. There was trouble with the app so I called and a friendly voiced picked up and I shared with him what trouble I was having so I placed an ordered through him bcuz we decided to drive and pick the wings up ourselves. The employee told me come on over and he’ll have the wings ready when we got there without paying for them. When I walked in I said hello and the friendly guy at the counter said you must be the person called up to order wings. To my surprise he recognized my voice even though he had 6 or so orders waiting to be picked. We both laughed about us thinking that ATL Wings meant Atlanta Wings since ATL is the airport code for Atlanta. I asked if he was from Atlanta and he said no I’m from NJ. That’s a long way from home. Back to my story we brought them home along with a few salads. My friends were so surprised and happy with the refreshing change bcuz we alway take forever attempting to make a food decision. I ordered two types and they were a big hit! Tasty non GREASY wings! Yummy the gals kept saying and going back for more. I love wings but a few years back I stopped eating them bcuz they were so Greasy. My friends have had them a few more after that and have shared with others. My thing is an important one if you don’t have a Gall Bladder! These wings are special for the Tummy sensitive crowd… PS The salads could be better quality, instead the cheap bag of salad mix with the majority of iceberg lettuce. We have made our and even stopped by other restaurants to grab a better quality salad to go with their...

I give honest good AND bad reviews. This is actually the account that I use to give bad reviews to bad restaurants! Lol! My other account is for GREAT restaurants who have GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE & CAN TAKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! Lol! Your little assessment is wrong because I've actually lived in Tempe for a little over 5 years and just created this account and purposely use it for bad reviews which I have less than 7. Lol! Smart guy...

Based upon your review numbers you have 369 4.6 stars proving that THIS LOCATION does not have "THOUSANDS" of customers who love you. Don't flatter yourself.

I thought I was pretty fair in my comment considering I gave an extra star for the great customer service. It's not my fault that your location lacks good food.

Now I'll never return and will recommend no one that I know does.

I know the story behind how this location was obtained and who owns it so this response is NOT surprising.

Do better and learn to take criticism and level up to the REAL ATL locations. Good service starts at the top and rolls down. From what I see you only want good reviews and that is not the restaurant business.

7/18/23 7:00 pm: Were it not for the good service I'd give it 1 star. This location is going down fast! It used to be good

The fries are ALWAYS cold and I'm only 4 minutes away. This time they actually tasted burnt although they didn't look it.

I ask for crispy wings and get slimy wings with hardly any sauce on them.

I always feel like they are rushing close to closing time which I get if but your reputation is at...
