Experiment Coffee is a very tiny establishment with no indoor seating—just two small tables outside with two chairs each. It’s definitely not the place to work, lounge, or catch up with friends for an extended period, but it’s great if you’re looking to grab a quality coffee and go.
They have an extensive menu featuring a variety of coffees, pastries, and even lunch options. Their hours are limited, closing at 2 PM, so plan accordingly. They also sell a range of coffee-making tools for those looking to brew at home.
I tried the Caramelized Pistachio Iced Coffee, which was on the sweeter side, but the nuttiness balanced it out nicely. The plain espresso was bold, made with Arabica beans, and the iced coffee was a refreshing option for a warm day.
As for pastries, we had the Everything Croissant, which was delicious—flaky, buttery, and well-layered. However, it’s supposed to come with cream cheese, and I barely got a half-dollop. While what I did get was tasty, the amount seems inconsistent. The Honey Butter Croissant was also excellent, and the portion sizes are surprisingly large. We also tried the Valentine’s Day Love Chocolate Double Chocolate Ganache Cake, which was rich and indulgent. While the chocolate nibs on the outside were a bit much for me, true chocolate lovers will appreciate it.
Overall, the coffee is expensive, but somewhat worth it. If you’re looking for a quick, high-quality coffee and don’t mind the lack of seating, Experiment Coffee is a...
Read moreAfter finding Experiment online, and reading the reviews, I have been longing to try this place out. And it lived up to the hype!
We got the Pistachio Caramel Latte, Butterscotch Oak Barrel Latte, the espresso croissant and the blackberry mango cheese Danish (pictured!) Everything was absolutely delicious!! Just as other reviews have mentioned, the pastries here are absolutely wonderful and as for the lattes, you can taste the coffee and recognize its quality while also having delicious and unique signature flavorings.
The space inside the cafe is very limited, as others have mentioned, so this is more of a grab and go place. It's important to note you're paying for what you purchase (the total was about $25 for a regular coffee, large coffee, and two pastries). But with that being said, the prices are comparable to other cafes - just much better quality! Nowadays I justify when I get coffee out by saying I'm also paying for the 2-3 hours I'm spending working/studying in the space, as well. However, these pastries and coffee, are worth it all on their own....
Read moreOK YUM??? We got QUITE a few items from here and we got it to go. This is a super small shop with a tiny outdoor seating area and two small stools to sit on to wait. It’s such a vibe! Like a pocket sized pastry shop.
They have a single item (changes daily) menu for lunch and offer a breakfast sandwich or avo toast for breakfast. And WOW they have such a great variety of pastries.
We got the fig and goat cheese danish (my fave of the haul), a strawberry cream pastry (extremely good, basically tied for first but I was craving goat cheese), the breakfast sandwich (extremely fresh and delicious! The English muffin was SO good), a lemon meringue croissant (delicious lemon filling, I’m not a meringue person but my roomie liked it) a coffee (scrumptious), and a chocolate chip cookie (honestly nothing will beat my mom’s so idk why we try).
Overall, super good experience and so close to our place! Some things run on the extra sweet side (meringue and chocolate chip cookie) but pastries are best with a strong coffee. We will be...
