Sol De Jalisco # 3 — Restaurant in Temple

We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant this evening. The hostess asked multiple times booth or table? And we repeated booth many times over. Then if we wanted to play trivia…sounds like fun, but then she didn’t know what time that started. NeverMind just seat us in a booth. Was that a booth? She said. Little bit of a shaky start but I digress. We sit down and are handed menus but 10 minutes go by and nothing. Finally we see the waitress and order our draft beer. It was flat so when she comes back to get our food order my husband tells her. She doesn’t take our food order and says she’ll give our new drink order to the bar. 16 more minutes go by and no drinks, and no food order has been taken. We finally just got up and left. They looked shocked that we were leaving but seriously this is the 2nd time we’ve had horrible svc here. The food was good, but the service sucks. Service is huge! Even when the beer was flat if there’d have been good service then it...

Food was great, which is the only reason it has 2 stars instead of 1. Went with my parents, older brother and his youngest son. Told to sit anywhere. Sat down, guy brought menus, asked what we wanted to drink. Brings drinks, takes order. A lady, not our waiter, brings the food. After that, no one comes back again until we're done eating and they start taking plates. I commented I would have liked a refill, so he brings back refills... for the whole table. We finish our drinks, Our waiter looks right at my dad, who raises a hand and say "Excuse me, sir?" trying to get the bill. He looks away and ignores us. My brother has to call out from across the room so the whole restaurant can stare at us like we're lunatics. They still don't bring us a bill, so my dad finally just gets up and has to pester the lady working the drive-thru. So, think my order might have been wrong, but never got to find out because of the complete...

ROACHES! My mother was enjoying a margarita when she saw something floating around in her ice, she scraped it out with her straw and it was a roach... When we sat down and ordered water the hard plastic cups that were served to us were dirty and worn out...one had a clump of dirt and hair on the top of it and the other looked like a puppy chewed on the top could have easily cut your lip it was so rugged. We lost our appetites after seeing the roach, the manager didn't even bother apologizing he just said okay, I'm guessing because he knows they have roaches. Not to mention the army of flies we had to fight off. We were half way into our meal when we discovered the roach, and of course my elderly mother got sick that night from the little she had eaten. Our server was new but sweet, even though she got one of the orders incorrect. It was just a terrible experience and we won't be back for the "extra protein" ever...
