Waffle House — Restaurant in Temple

Once again I am back editing this review. Last night my husband talked me into trying this location again. I was very hesitant and wasn't expecting much. Well I was wrong. The whole atmosphere was different. The food was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely have no problem coming back.

It's sad to say that I must edit this. It has really been bugging me to not say anything. But after this experience, we will not be going back to this location. I literally heard our server call our order exactly like we ordered it. When it got to the table it was all messed up. I would have eaten mine had the sausage on top been cooked completely. I asked them to remake it trying to be polite because I don't ever want to purposely be rude to anyone. So here's where it gets interesting. The server NEVER came back to the table. She didn't bring my husband but half of his food. I finally got up at work ask about it and she walked away. That is when I noticed that they weren't even cooking my food! When we were paying she honestly thought we were going to pay for food we never got. She even said "what did I not bring you". I could understand if you were busy or short staffed. But neither one was the case.

We came in for dinner tonight. There weren't many customers at all, yet the entire right side of the restaurant was blocked off and completely trashed. The girl working that side said they were working on cleaning up that side. So we sat in the only available booth. Another couple had come in behind us and sat at the bar. It was pretty evident that our server Rebecca was the only one interested in working. She was on top of it too. She did her best to get everyone what they needed. Unfortunately the other couple got tired of waiting and left. There was absolutely no reason the server working the right side couldn't have waited on them. Lunch on Sunday. Is it busy yes, but when I walked in myself with 2 kids and sat down at 1 of the 4 open tables ( all dirty ) I was met with dirty looks but who cares I have 2 small kids I wasn't going to stand and wait. I was met with a server who then placed my silverware on a dirty table and took drink orders. I was naive enough to think she would eventually wipe the table down that she was just busy .... but she didn't. It had sugar all over the table and spilt water. I cleaned it up and pushed it into a pile and they still ignored it. They then continued to clean the other 3 tables thay people were sitting at but now mine. The server was b I. T.c. h I. But 1 of the managers was happy to help me change my order to a To go order. Paid for 3 drinks I didn't get to drink and the meal that I really wanted to sit and enjoy with my children since I'm a single mother who works full time. What a waste the only people smilling were the lady sweeping the floor , the cooks and a super sweet lady who made faces at my baby. The manly looking lady......

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in with my granddaughter and sat at a booth and told the server Victoria that I had one more coming to join she didn't bother to ask us for our drink order. Another server came and brought us our silverware, by this time the third person had arrived and we sat waiting another server had to tell Victoria we were waiting to be served and when she came over she had to ask our drink order twice and still left out part of our drinks. When she finally got our order and we received our food I again had to ask for the rest of our drink order I don't know what was going on with her but she kept saying she was tired and something about not getting along with her Guinea pig. She never came back to our table to refill our drinks or to find out if our food was ok if she had she could have fixed my sandwich that was made with wheat bread and not white which was not what I ordered.
