TL;DR: Great pizza, wings, and staff. Lots of memories made here. It's what a pizza place should be.

I'm a firm believer in the idea that you can tell a pizza place by its simple products, like a plain cheese pizza. Take it from someone who's had most of their offerings over the last couple years - there's nothing they make that isn't good. Some of greats are deep dish buffalo chicken or Philly cheese steak. And the wings! Their wings are arguably better than Buffalo Wild Wings, certainly a better value and out to you much sooner. The only thing they need now is more sauce options than mild, hot, and honey BBQ (but, if you bring your own, they'll put it together for you...).

The manager/owner Solomon is a genuine, great guy. He's the model of a personable manager with good soft-skills and if you ever get the chance to talk to him, you should get to know him. He genuinely wants to take care of his customers. The rest of the staff are good people, too.

They have a buffet, which he keeps stocked with what you ask for. They also deliver in the Karns area.

If you live in Karns, you probably know this place well. I've made a lot of memories here over the last couple years and I'm really going to miss this place when I'm gone. If you're passing through, go order yourself a large cheese...

Bella Roma pizza is the best place in the world. As the name implies everything about the place is beautiful. This pizza place is particularly unique because there are not many places in the world where one can get authentic Italian food served with authentic southern hospitality. Its employees are great workers and they are also very helpful. The owners work in the store as well so rest assured that the food you order is prepared according to the highest standard. The delivery drivers do their jobs promptly, so you can expect to sit down to a nice hot meal with the family every time you order. The ingredients are so fresh that it makes Subway's ingredients look like canned food. Vegetables are bought locally and are cut every few hours to assure maximum freshness. None of that frozen crap. The dough is made in store every day. Again: none of that frozen crap you will get from Pizza Hut or dominoes. With all the greatness mentioned one might assume that price to be astronomical, however this is simply not the case. The all you can eat buffet is only $6.99 if that says anything. Speaking of the buffet, you can request any pizza you're in the mood for to be made and they will satisfy your desire. Whether you have lived in Knoxville your whole life, are in town for a semester of college, or are just in town for a night or two I advise you to let the good folks at Bella Roma take care of you as they have taken care of my family and I these past few years. I will start with it was decently priced with nice portions. We got a medium Philly cheesesteak pizza, florentine shells, and eggplant rolls. I will start with the eggplant roll dish - it was absolutely disgusting. The whole dish tasted like freezer burn. Not sure if they come frozen and that was the case, if not their breading is absolutely horrible! The “ricotta” cheese inside was no ricotta I’ve ever had or tasted before it was not good. Barely had any sauce or flavor to the whole thing. I would avoid this dish at all cost!

The pizza, it was okay, definitely skimpy on the toppings - you would think if you requested mushrooms off they would fill it in with more of the others, that was a nope… very little meat, peppers, and onions. It was mostly bread. The sauce nonexistent which was sad because it was semi decent. I will also say if you’re gonna do a Philly pizza it needs to be done with a white sauce not red.

The breadsticks, well that’s what they are just bread sticks - zero flavor just bread. You’d think a pizza/ Italian place would want to stand out but I guess that not what they are after.
