The service was amazing! The nicest people you will ever meet. We had the 3 pc catfish dinner and fried pickles as a carryout dinner split between two people. The fish was breaded perfectly, no grease. The fish was fresh and flaky, the fried pickles were well seasoned and also very well fried, same for the Hush puppies and fries. Slaw and beans are very tasty. The sides included hush puppies, beans, slaw, and fries. It was delicious! Not to mention they have great tarter sauce and some other red pepper chutney or sauce. Recent visit to the Awesome Catfish House, I ordered for carryout. One Lemon Pepper Catfish Dinner, with hush puppies, beans, coleslaw, Fried Okra, and an order of Fried Pickles. The dinner was split between two people. Plenty to eat, bring your appetite. It was delicious. The Catfish was light, flakey, and tender, well seasoned, (you do have a choice of Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Black Seasoned) the coleslaw was crunchy and creamy with a slight tangy taste, the Fried Okra is just enough crunchy lightly seasoned bater with tender inside, the same with the Fried Pickles, the Hush puppies Fried with a nice crunchy batter with a soft fluffy inside, white beans in a mild seasoned gravy. They serve you a nicely whipped tartar sauce, along with a very addictive sweet pepper relish chutney. Pics of fried pickles with Red pepper relish chutney, Lemon Pepper Grilled Catfish with Fried Okra, Hush puppies, white beans in a gravy, the dinner split between two people, see how one plate is full and there was still leftovers of the sides, which we did eat those as well. Bravo! Excellent dinner. Staff is friendly, prices are very reasonable and worth it. Nice atmosphere to dine in. They also have a delicious dessert menu, if you have any room 😋

Today is Mother's Day and my sons sent me money because they are not here. I thought I would use the money and go splurge at the Catfish House. I knew they would be packed so I called my order in. My food was the worst I've ever eaten there before. My fish was overcooked and was deep crispy like chicken and appeared to be either cooked in old fish grease or in used chicken grease. It was dark in color. It had no flavor to it at all nor was it light and flaky like usual. I had to feed it to my dogs because I couldn't chew it. My white beans tasted watered down and had no flavor. I received 10 small nearly raw okra. The crust was the only thing done on them. They were hard and crunchy. I don't know why I received such horrible food on Mother's day, but I will just get my fried fish at Cheddars from now on. I could have saved time, gas, and money and my Mother's Day dinner would have been worth the wait. This meal was definitely not worth $20.79. ZOOM the pics in and look at the cook on the fish. Definitely not fine restaurant dining. ☹

We finally got out to Catfish House and so glad we did! We arrived as they opened and didn't have to wait long for our food. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and they were fantastic! Full of flavor and just the right crispiness. We both ordered the fillet dinner with a baked potato. Was surprised the potato does not come with butter at all, but the white beans are delicious!! They give you a choice of mayo or vinegar slaw which I was super happy for, I love vinegar slaw and theirs was delicious!! The catfish was cooked to perfection but the breading needed seasoning, big time. Since it's a cornmeal breading (yes I'm aware most places serve it that way and while I prefer tempura, I will eat cornmeal) it definitely needed some seasoning. Would have knocked it out of the park if the catfish had the onion ring batter!! Overall great meal and we will be returning again and again.

This place is SOOOOOO good. I live very close to this restaurant an always see the sign when I am taking my kiddo to school. So we decided to give it a try.... We got there an got seated , everyone was friendly... Sat down an our waitress introduced herself... asked if we wanted 99 cent Okra.... OF COURSE!!! I LOVE fried okra!!!!! We ordered our meals.... They come with white beans, Cole Slaw ( mayo or vinegar based ) mayo based was REALLY good. I'm not even a slaw person an it was still really good. My shrimp 🍤 came out an they were perfect lightly fried huge shrimp, hush puppies an fresh fries....🤤🤤🤤 SO SO GOOD. Even their tea is amazing..This is my new favorite restaurant here. Also the portions are large, you will almost always have some to take some home

Dare I say it? Yep this is the best catfish you will find in the city. Meal was prepared as if big momma was in the back cooking. All of the staff were pleasant and displayed exceptional teamwork. I had the Cajun catfish dinner with Mac and cheese, white beans, hush puppies and a salad. BTW all of that was included in the dinner! Food was better than expected. I loved the drive to this place just beautiful. Add this establishment to your family, friendly, affordable checklist.
