We waited 10 minutes to be seated which wasn't that big of a deal even though there weren't that many people there. We got burritos my beef was ok but my husband's chicken was not very good. We finished our meal and waited 15 minutes and finally the waitress came to our table and we told her we needed our bill. We waited a while longer and while I was in the bathroom she asked my husband if we needed our ticket and he told her yes again. Well we set there for twenty more minutes, my husband had to get up and find someone, the waitress came said we are short staffed are you all ready for your ticket and my husband said yes we have asked you 3 times. She huffed and walked off. She walked to our table to give us our ticket never said sorry you had to wait nothing. I walked to the front to pay and she still never said a word. I stood there counting my money for a minute just to give her a chance to apologize or say anything. She never said a word. That is the first time I have not left a tip in my life I know how it is so I always leave a good tip. All's she would have had to say is sorry even with all the waiting. She never even asked if our food was good. We arrived at 8:30 and didn't leave until 10:15. 2 kids meals that were 5 dollars each and 2 burritos and cokes to drink...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFun place. We ate outside on the back porch. It seemed like you were in a different place. I had the choice of 3 tacos. I had the shrimp, the mushroom and the teriyaki I think. All were flavorful and good. They were room temp, but still very good. We order the chips and queso. It was very good with a little chorizo put in it. The chips were room temp. But thatās ok. I do love at least warm from a heating drawer or a heat lamp. The 3 tacos came with rice and beans. Rice was the usual Tex mex rice. Nothing unusual. The beans had tremendous potential. I think that has sat in the steam table too long. They were dried out. Nothing a little stock mixed in wouldnāt help. Now. Both the beans and the rice were room temp. As was all the food: the waitress said sorry for the wait. It took, probably 30 minutes to get our food, she said she had a 8 top. My guess is the kitchen scooped the rice and beans onto the plate and they sat there a while. They were definitely not hot. Iāll give them the benefit . It wasnāt busy at all though. It was a Wednesday evening. No one upstairs, maybe 3 people at the bar, then maybe 4-5 tables inside . And we were the sole outside diners . Itās a great place and weāll definitely go back. Those tacos are full of flavor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo this was a really weird experience. We sat for awhile and no one came to take our order. Then someone brought us some menus and got our drink orders. We heard her talking to another couple about a check and said she didn't know where the waiter went. Then she said she doesn't work there...
We got our drinks and then she left again for awhile. She came back, took an appetizer order and when she was walking away she said again "I dont work here, I'm just helping out."
We waited for about 10 more minutes and saw someone running food and 2 people behind the bar down stairs but no one that actually worked there ever talked to us in about a 30 minute window. One of the bar staff/waiters did walk by us, looked directly at us and then left.
Another couple walked in, the same "waitress" took their drink order and an appetizer order. They asked a question about the menu and she again said "I don't work here."
At that point it was just feeling strange so we left. I've been to Holy Taco many times and the food and drinks are usually great. This was a weird and very concerning experience and I think it'll be awhile before I...
