Embark on a culinary journey with Mexica - a tale of redemption in every bite! My first rendezvous with this fast-casual haven left me unimpressed, but oh, what a mistake it would have been to judge it too soon. Determined to unveil its true colors, I returned not once, not twice, but four times. Lo and behold, Mexica transformed from an average eatery to my fast casual Mexican sanctuary.
The magic lies in the flavors - deep, developed, and authentic. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and nachos take center stage, each dish a symphony of quality ingredients crafted with love. Forget the 'cook in front of you' theatrics; Mexica's creations emerge from the back kitchen, fast, fresh, and bursting with flavor.
Feast without fear; even after conquering a colossal burrito, chips, and salsa, there's no heavy aftermath. Mexica's prowess eclipses the competition - Chipotle and Moe's pale in comparison to the authenticity and quality served here. Local Mexican contenders (including sit down restaurants), be warned - Mexica sets the bar high, leaving others scrambling to get on its level.
In the realm of Mexican fast casual, Mexica doesn't just shine; it takes the pastel. Consider this a lesson in the art of patience and second chances - Mexica, a phoenix rising from the ashes of a subpar first impression, now stands tall as my undisputed go-to. Cheers to the flavorful transformation and the wisdom gained one...
Read moreCalled ahead and placed my order for pick up, the man said 10 minutes. This place is about 10 minutes from my house so I left when I got off the phone with him. I get there, I planned to run in and out with my daughter… so i get inside and they haven’t even started my order. So whatever that’s fine, I waited. I finally see them start my order so I head over to the counter just to watch since it was empty in there. They started making my nachos and they added the wrong toppings, so I stopped them and said I didn’t ask for rice or black beans. They apologized and began to re-make it. As I’m watching them make it the “correct” way, I see them put the chips the protein, then the guacamole, pico, etc. At the very end they topped it with a massive amount of shredded cheese. Mind you, these are NACHOS. Why would you put cold shredded cheese at the very end? The cheese goes on top of the chips, and it should be MELTED CHEESE. I literally could not even believe my eyes. This is suppose to be “authentic” Mexican food. The people working there are Hispanic because they were speaking Spanish, so how could they serve nachos like that. Anyways, I was so annoyed I paid for my food and just threw it in the trash as soon as I got home (i made sure to take a picture for this review). I dont know how this place has 4.6 stars. I’ll never be going here again. I’ll stick...
Read moreBeen a customer for a couple years now. Place is beginning to go down hill. They are giving you less and less of everything every time. Also the midget behind the counter always has a bad attitude.
My advice would be to fire the midget and start providing better portions. It has got to the point where I might as well start going back to Chipotle and be served by a hipster.
EDIT 4/19/23 lowerd from 2 stars to 1 This place just cant seem to get it down. The new meal prep containers that they serve bowls in are the biggest scam on the market. You get absolutely no food in it. Also they cant seem to figure out that they should have two separate stations set up. One or customers who come in and one for takeout/door dash. These people will stop serving customers who come into the establishment for 20 minutes to make door dash orders. Thats a slap in the face for loyal customers who already waited 20 minutes in line. Its frustrating watching somewhere with potential get flushed down the toilet because of...
