My family and I always have a good experience at this location. It's nice when associates remember you and/or family members. I checked out after my mother last month. The cashier was very friendly telling me how great she thought my parents are. She loves seeing them when they come in...especially my mother. She said how "regular customers like them brighten my day and make being at work worth it". I thought it was a very nice thing to say. I wish I remember her name. Nonetheless I really appreciated it 😊 I can't remember a time when I've seen an associate standing around not doing anything. They're always restocking shelves, hanging clothes etc., and bringing out whatever stock they do have 👍🏻 Yet are always available to stop what their doing to answer questions and help find items in the store if I've needed help 🙂 One downfall is they receive a limited number of items...ESPECIALLY the weekly deals. So if there's something you REALLY want/need in weekly flyer, it's best to get there the morning the sale STARTS! This location either seems run out quickly or doesn't even receive items (all the time). That's the ONLY reason for the 4 🌟 I went Saturday 02/05/22, there was a sleet storm the day before. At the front of the store was a display of 8 shovels, 9 bags of rock salt, and 6 bags of ice melt. Per the manager it's they had left in stock. Overall the store did appear to be well stocked with other items though...including other flyer sales. The store is clean. Sometimes items are found out of place. Which obviously happens in every store. I blame it on lazy customers just dropping things here and there vs putting it back. Yesterday I did run into a few items that were open. Because of what it was I MAYBE could've seen why someone opened it...seriously though? Now the store has to claim it out. People are just idiots sometimes and feel they can do whatever they want. Sorry but it's ridiculous behavior. If you decide to visit this location I hope you are able to get what you are...
Read moreCame here yesterday to return an item. I went to the service counter and there was a woman behind it putting items in a box. I politely said, "Hi, can I return this here?" She completely ignored me, didn't even look at me. Another woman nearby who I assume was an assistant manager saw and heard me and then barked at me, "She doesn't work the service counter." OK...but what is wrong with her that she couldn't at least greet/acknowledge me and say she'd get someone who could help me?
The second woman paged someone to process the return. I get it, you all work in retail and it s*cks...but guess what, I worked in retail too and always greeted customers with a smile and asked how I could help them. It's not that difficult. Your employees need better training or some kind of common sense.
On top of that, the store (like other OCJL locations) is old and smells and the carpeting at the entrance looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in 30 years. Building 19 looked better...
