Catfish King — Restaurant in Texarkana

If I could give 0 stars I would. Food is alright. Has to be fresh for it to be good. However this review isn’t about the food, it’s about behind the scenes. DO NOT WORK HERE. The pay is $8-9(Cooks and cashiers get that btw)🤣 I’ve been gone since February and I still get insight on the issues at this location. My work experience here was alright in the beginning. But towards the end everyone got mad bc I started bringing issues to the GM and started letting the men know they weird and desperate. I was 21 at the time and the entire cooking staff is men in their 40s and 50s begging the cashiers for sexual relations. I have recordings and documentation btw. The GM was aware of the issues and instead of firing employees she did nothing bc this location cannot keep nobody. The turnover rate is VERY high due to verbal abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of power, etc They get away with so much here that’s why they stay. The ones who know they cannot qualify to work anywhere else are the ones still there. And it’s funny bc everyone there was saying how the labor board should be called bc the GM management is awful. It’s so many things going wrong here. It’s sad that cooperate and the owners do not come and check in. If they cared at all about their business they would know the truth of what’s going on. And would find a new GM immediately. Luckily God saw my heart and he knew I deserved better which is why I’ve flourished so beautifully once I left and they still there suffering. God don’t...

The only reason I am leaving one star is because it will not allow me to leave less. I was excited to eat here again as we used to eat here when I was younger and lived in the area. We came back through the area and thought we would stop in and enjoy a meal. Well as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a young woman that was less than happy to see us as she rolled her eyes at us before we even got to the counter. Then my husband proceeded to order even though her attitude was very apparent. It only got worse when he asked if a drink came with the meal he had ordered and she mumbled something and he asked what she said and then she was extremely rude with her response. He then asked if he could have a drink with his order and she said “well if you want a drink with your meal I guess you got to order one!” My husband asked to speak with her manager and she was mouthing while he was trying to explain what was going on and then she left the counter yelling and screaming in the back to the other workers. My husband proceeded to tell the manager that we would not be eating there and we left and we could still hear that person in the back cussing and yelling! Wow is all I can say to that! It was a horrible visit we waited in line for 30 minutes when we received our food their where no plastic wear, condiments, the whole order was wrong. The one small piece of fish we received was the size of a shad an burnt to a Krispy. The chicken was undercooked an everything else was cold. So we call and start to head back . The person on the phone was rude an when we got to the establishment again the doors were locked before time . So we had to wait in line again. The Man snatched the sack from my husband's hand an said I cooked this myself there's nothing wrong with it . So we proceed to explain the issues with our order. He said whatever an closed the window. The slings it back open said give me your card an refunded -$ cost of our meals he did not even offer to fix it or make it right an never on e apologized for the mess up. I was truly appalled by the behavior, the treatment as a custom, an the quality of food. Catfish King used to be a quality place to dine carry out with excellent employees. That is no longer the case, an it saddens me because I grew up eating at this place but...
