From all the good reviews I had high hopes. My experience was anything but good. Went around 1PM and found few customers but very loud music. Still, even with less than great ambiance you can overlook a lot when the cuisine is good. I ordered a lunch burrito with beef fajitas. What I got was a flour tortilla with some of the toughest meat I've eaten. Along with the tough meat there was gristle and fat. Not at all appetizing. Along with this was a bowl of charro beans. There was no cheese, no lettuce, tomato, etc., just tough fajita meat wrapped in a barely warm tortilla. I mentioned this to the waitress who simply ignored my complaint. Also, even though the prices were comparable to other establishments offering the same food, this place didn't offer chips or salsa. When I left to pay the check the person asked if everything was all right and I mentioned that the burrito was basically not edible. Her answer was that no one had ever complained about the fajita beef. Not really the answer one would have expected. All in all this place is not one that I would want to visit again. It may be that it was the dish I ordered or just a bad day. My dining companion had Quesadillas that were not up to par with other places in our area. Don't like to be negative, but sometime the facts are...
ย ย ย Read moreVery disappointed, worst mexican restaurant ever. Horrible service and food wasnt served as described. I ordered fajita nachos. I was told it would come with bell peppers, refried beans and other vegetables. Upon arrival I was served a plate of chips with melted cheese and very little fajitas. No refried beans, bell peppers, etc.. When letting the waitress know of this it was taken back to only be given to me in return like they just splattered refried beans ontop of my original plate. you could hardly find any fajita meat and still no bell peppers. The waitress didnt come over to ask if we needed anything or how was everything. We didnt get asked if we needed a refill until our plates were cleared. When this was brought up to the manager. She started talking spanish to the waitress and she didnt know we understand spanish . She started to mention it might be our own fault the order was wrong. Bad customer service. We do not recommend or will not return. My nachos were done so poorly that my 9 year old daughter could do...
ย ย ย Read moreI ordered to be delivered. Delivery service was great, the food not so much. We have always went to Jaliciense as they have NEVER let us down and have ALWAYS been the best in Texas City. I ordered- 1 Al pastor gordita, 1 beef fajita gordita, 2 Al pastor tacos and a small queso. The Al pastor had a very off taste and was extremely greasy. The gordita was so small compared the Taqueria El Jaliciense (which is way more than double the size, has cheese, awesome flavored meat and beans inside it). The lettuce and tomatoes on the side was barely enough for one of the gorditas much less 2. The small queso was literally just that, ONLY queso. Who provides ONLY queso and doesn't think the customer is expecting chips too? What in the world am I supposed to do with just queso? Thanks but no thanks, lesson learned. We will stick to Taqueria El...
