Craven Crawfish — Restaurant in Texas

My friend took me here because he found out I had never ate crawfish before.

I ordered three pounds of their mild crawfish, and a sausage. Their sauce was good but having never ate there, or crawfish for that matter, I didn't want to be too bold. It wasn't spicy enough for me so I'll definitely order something hotter next time.

What I really loved though, was the sausage. I don't know if it was because I was hungry, or because it was a nice change of pace from the crawfish, but it hit the spot. I ended up going back and ordering more.

Gotta say, I really dig it. The location has potential and sitting outside in the breeze was really nice. I could see myself bringing a case of beer with some friends and just hanging out. Oh yeah, it's BYOB, I forgot to mention that.

I was highly disappointed today. I was introduced to this place last year by my girlfriend and she bragged so highly about this crawfish. So this year we decided to come back for the first time today. We got the worst customer service and 6 lbs of bad crawfish, with half a pound of broken legs a lot of dead ones. We asked to speak with the owner to address the issue. My girlfriend was told by the owner that she was the same woman that was complaining yesterday and this was our first time eating crawfish this year. He said his sister said that my girlfriend do this all the time when she comes. So we told him that you've mistaken her for someone else. As much as I love crawfish this place does not pass the test. I was told it would b ready in 25 minutes. It took me 16 minutes to get there and I waited and additional 50 minutes till I received my order. Crawfish were slightly muddy but the seasoning may have been good of I could get past the grit. I bought a lb of shrimp and it tasted like eating the sand off the bottom of the ocean. The size were huge but the flavor was literally the worse I've ever had.
