JV Ranch Ice House — Restaurant in Texas

I dont think this place even deserves 1 star. I was just here. I called ahead. Drove 1hr to get live crawfish. It is $5 a lb. Which I am willing to pay. Got to the location. The guy took the sack out. Brought it to the tailgate of my truck. I was going in to pay. Then he makes a phone call. Then tells me that he can't sell it to me anymore and have to take it back. crawfish. And need it for tonight. I was like that's messed up. He said I didn't take your money yet so I can take it back. Never doing...

I originally gave them a 5 star, I found out about this spot from a friend. I tried the crawfish and shrimp here and I loved it. It has only been a couple of months now. And I feel like they changed the recipe. It's not the same as before, I prefer the Cajun Garlic Butter sauce, it is more watery and spicer now. (which I don't like) before it contained more herbs and garlic, not sure what happened but I hope they go back to the way they made it before. Also I like the to go better in a container...

You can literally feel the atmosphere from the parking lot it draws you in and even tho it wasnt packed it felt full of breath... The food was really good and the vibe felt like the weekend was here even tho it was a wednesday... The TV's had a good variety playing and the drinks were cold and prompt due to the staff being on point.. it was kinda hot but only cause they had the bay doors open so that it felt like an outside party i enjoyed it, good business...
