What an amazing find! My sister, my cousin and I ate dinner tonight at Los Pueblos - the best, most creative Mexican restaurant I have eaten at in years! Our host, Victor, generously took time describing dishes on and off the menu. With so much pride and so much charisma! He definitely knows authentic Mexican food from every angle. We started with - get ready - roasted cauliflower in a delicious sauce! On to frijoles charros - easily the best I've had. Then, large, family style dishes arrived - enchiladas, chilaquiles, flautas, and ceviche de pescado y shrimp. All dishes were superb! It was tough choosing our favorites. Mine was enchiladas, my sister loved the flautas, and my cousin settled on the ceviche. The presentation was lovely on beautiful platters. Service was friendly, exceptional. I cannot recommend this new restaurant highly enough! Oh, and don't leave before the tres leches...
Read moreI was driving from California to San Antonio and was looking for something to eat. I googled this place and saw the good reviews. They also served a small bowl of beans. All was delicious. The waitress was super nice. She came by several times to make sure everything was okay and if I needed anything. Well, I polished off my plate and paid my reasonably priced bill and left. I'm glad I stayed and would recommend giving this place a try. ...
Read moreI think I found the best kept secret in El Paso! I am not even from El Paso, haha! I'm just lucky, I guess. My truck was in the shop for the weekend. I was referred to the Americana Inn. The same weekend that I stayed at the motel, the restaurant, Los Pueblos Restaurant, opened at the motel. It is right next door to the front office. I tried the door wondering if it was open, and it was. I am sure that it won't be a secret for long. It is a small, comfy Mexican restaurant with authentic, delicious Mexican food. I had breakfast and ordered eggs with machaca. It was so good. They also served me chips and salsa. I think I have a new favorite place. I will have to come back when...
