I ran across this place on social media and decided to give it a try after my wife sent it to me as well so I'm going to be completely honest about it... first let start with the parking situation... it was crazy with people coming in and out of all the tiny businesses that are around (mostly Nee Hao) but I had to sit and wait about 10 minutes to finally get a spot... then when I finally got into the restaurant it was super fast placing my order but the woman that took my order didn't charge me and told me to wait until my food was ready... didn't ask me my name or give me a number or anything for that matter... she handed me my soda and told me to wait...I ordered at 3:32pm today Friday May 16th... didn't get my order until 4:21pm... everyone that had ordered after me was getting charged and given a number...I was confused but decided to wait like everyone else... the people answering the phones were beyond rude screaming at the customers saying "WHAT CHICKEN DO YOU WANT, WE HAVE CHICKEN EVERYTHING" I finally sat down and let me tell you the bag felt and looked like I ordered for my whole family and it was me by myself was so heavy I was wondering if it was my order and it was... the food portion is huge but the flavor wasn't there...I ordered general chicken which indicated "spicy" and it was far from it and dry... hardly any flavor... the rice was very bland... the egg roll was stale... the shrimp cheese puffs were the best thing I ate unfortunately...I will give this place a 5 out of 10 stars unfortunately... it wasn't horrible but definitely wasn't worth the social media hype...I will go back and try again but as of now it's not was it was made to be... pictures of what I ordered and what I got...(I...
Read moreBeen here several times and last time I ordered a very large to go order for pick up that was ready quickly. Ordered the house special Wonton soup (best in the Houston area IMO), sweet and sour chicken with house special fried rice, some crispy rice noodle entrew my dad always gets with Singapore rice, sweet and sour soup (I think or hot and sour soup), then some egg rolls, then another meat entree. Everything was still hot when I got home. I don't live close. I live off of 2920 and falvel, so imagine the drive I made home and it still was hot! Food was delicious and the portions are large! Forget PF changs. This is the best bang for your buck. Sweet and sour chicken the dinner one I think or it might've been lunch that comes with the egg roll for like 9.95 can be stretched into at least 2 meals. If you ate like a normal person and don't eat large portions, you can probably stretch it to 3. We also order no MSG too. Soups are flavorful and so is the rice. Sweet and sour chicken is fried chicken and you just dip it in sweet and sour sauce, but I actually like it that because sometimes I just want a bite of the chicken and not let the sauce make it soggy. There isn't much parking, so good luck with that. It get's busy at lunch because of where it's located but I've never had to wait a long time. Longest I waited was for that large order, which was called in and I picked it up like 30-45 minutes later. Keep it up, I'll definitely be returning whenever I'm...
Read moreFirst of all, I LOVE Asian food. I could eat it daily, seriously. I'm giving this place four stars based on a few things. We read the great reviews and decided to try it. The first thing we noticed is that they didn't put a lot of effort into the atmosphere, here. It's a small, hole-in- the-wall, type place. No problem, some of my favorite places are like this. So long as the food is good, I'm happy. The good: prices are reasonable (about $8 per plate). Portions are HUGE! easily two to three times more than other places. Service is fast and friendly. The food is pretty good! LOVED their hot sauce!! The bad: atmosphere could be better; the food came out quickly. Not that that's an issue, but it came out almost instantly. Made me wonder how fresh it was. We had fried rice, garlic chicken, and hot and sour soup. We didn't care for the soup. It was way too salty, in my opinion. The fried rice was good and it was a mountain of food. The garlic chicken was good, but not amazing. They put a ton of the sauce. So much that it was running all over the plate and table. It was soggy. The rice that came with it was "turkey and ham" rice. It was sweet. I liked it. Overall, I'd come back to try it again. Is it the BEST Chinese food, ever, as some people reviewed it? No. Good food and reasonably priced? Yes. Try...
