My family decided to order Pizza Milan for dinner tonight. We have ordered 2-3 times just this month because it was our favorite pizza spot in Forney. However, after tonightâs experience, we will no longer be giving Pizza Milan our business. We ordered our pizza online. Mind you- the delivery service is on THEIR business website. The order said that the order would arrive between 6:30-6:45. Well, 6:45 rolled around and still no pizza. We called the store and they said that Door Dash had picked it up 20 minutes ago. Which is weird, because we didnât order through door dash, as well as never received a confirmation or any communication through that particular app. After being told that the pizza had already been picked up, we checked the front porch- and sure enough, the pizza was there on the ground. No doorbell rang, no picture received saying there had been a delivery, no courteous knock on the door. We brought our $42 pizzas inside and they were cold WITH ants crawling all over them. We called Pizza Milan and this is when what sounded like a young girl answered the phone. She informed me that their pizzas are delivered through Door Dash. I told her that I ordered it through the Pizza Milanâs website and that I understand that sometimes companies use a third party to deliver for them. However, we never received anything through DoorDash. We did receive a delivery time from a company named Slice. However, thatâs all we received. No photo, tracker or anything else. She suggested that I called DoorDash for a refund. This is unfair because we had already ordered the pizza over an hour ago. The way a small business SHOULD handle this is by remaking the pizza and making the situation right. I asked to talk to a manager. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes, then came back on the phone to tell me that her âmanagerâ told her the same thing. After I told her âNo maâamâ and that that is not the way to handle this issue, she began to laugh at me over the phone. Iâm sorry but this is PURE disrespect. Especially in todayâs economy. This was supposed to be MY familyâs dinner. Instead, my husband went personally to Pizza Milan to speak with the manager , just to be told they would remake the pizza but they wouldnât do so until ANOTHER hour. This is why small business donât make it in the big world. Good luck to you. Pizza Hut never...
Read morePreviously, I loved the calzones here. However, I ordered a calzone with veggies and no meat. I ordered through DoorDash, it comes and has Canadian bacon on it. No biggie, I notify DoorDash, get my account credited, get a repeat calzone reordered. Comes again, Candian bacon. This time despite my DoorDash app saying I ordered banana peppers, onions, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts, the ticket on the box says bacon, onions, mushrooms, artichoke. I check the box just to be sure, and sure enough thereâs bacon again. I am a vegetarian, so this was frustrating, so I called the store this time to see if the disconnect was the DoorDash app or and the register. My real complaint is the customer service in this scenario. The girl I spoke with first was great, but I was placed on hold 3 times to speak with 3 different people. Each time I explained what happened, someone else would speak to me condescendingly, one person telling me that the store doesnât carry pork products at all so I clearly am mistaken and another person told me that they couldnât understand why I was upset about bacon. I explained that I am a vegetarian and specifically avoid pork especially. They abruptly put me on hold without any notice. The nice girl comes back on and says they will remake my order if I come in to place the order and pick it up. I explained that at this point it was too late and they didnât need to remake it. However, I could hear one of the men Iâd previously spoken to in the background yelling about me not coming. Mistakes happen, I understand it was probably a glitch between the DoorDash app and the storeâs interface, but customer service like this makes me not want to...
Read moreThis experience was deeply disappointing and upsettingâespecially for someone just trying to satisfy a pregnancy craving safely. Zero stars for service, empathy, and professionalism.
Tonight, my pregnant wife had a strong craving for a veggie calzone, so we placed an order at pizza Milan in Forney. She specifically requested only vegetable toppings because she cannot eat meat during her pregnancy. Unfortunately, the calzone arrived with bacon. We requested a replacement with only veggetablesâonly to receive another calzone with bacon.
When we called again, we spoke with three different employees, all of whom seemed irritated that she was asking for a correction. One even claimed the restaurant doesnât serve meat at all. We sent photos showing the bacon, and they responded by saying, âThatâs not meatâitâs Canadian bacon.â
We calmly explained again that she cannot eat any kind of meat, regardless of the label. Instead of showing understanding, they asked, âWhatâs wrong with Canadian bacon?â Then, while supposedly placing us on hold, we overheard them mocking her and making...
