Taco Casa — Restaurant in Texas

If I could give this taco casa a 0 star rating I most definitely would! This was the worst experience that I’ve ever had in my life....Me and my family went to our local taco casa and ordered 2 soft tacos and 3 burritos .. the line wasn’t short but wasn’t long either, we waited for 40 minutes in line to never get our food. When we finally got to the window the cashier took our payment and never returned back to the window.. we sat and waited another 10 minutes til I got fed up and drove around to see what the hold up was or if they forgot about our order? Went inside and told the cashier the issue told her my order and she asked for my receipt I let her know that I didn’t get one and that we had been out there for an extremely long time for 5 items. She called the “manager” over and he began to ask me what the issue was as well. So I explained it to him and said we had been there for 40 minutes and would like to know we’re my order was.. and asked to speak to the manager. He was very rude and threw his gloves down ran to the cash register and said “you don’t have an order anymore don’t come back here I’m refunding your money!!“ I said well I would like the general mangers phone number now and he replied rudely with “I am that too” I was unsure why he took it that route instead of trying to resolve the issue like a normal GM would do.. as I’m waiting for him to give me my refund 3 more customers that were behind me in the drive thru came in and asked what’s taking so long as well.. His reply was the same... “do not come back I’m refunding your money.” The elderly lady started to cry from the rudeness, another lady was asking why he wasn’t wearing a mask and why none of the employees were wearing masks as well his response was they all had a medical condition and didn’t need the mask. This Taco casa is inside Duke's truck stop I do stop at the other Taco casa in Abilene but no matter which one I'm in the people always friendly and the food's always fresh I normally order the super tostada it's covered with me beans lettuce I mean it's so big and heavy that the shell almost cracks the thing I like about is that no matter what you order man it always comes with a lot of cheese and I love cheese now the only thing about the one in dukes they still kind of shy about covid so you have to ask him for the hot sauce and some silverware plastic wear whatever but other than that I ain't found nothing wrong with him of course I would say they're high priced but nowadays if you go to Taco Bell it's just as bad about the price but if you want a good food I haven't tried then sharita yet but I'm fixing to on my way back and I want to try their special burrito so that's the best I can tell you on this end people are friendly fast service great iced tea sweet or unsweetened so if you're up on 20 and you're running through Texas there I forgot the exit the Duke is at the one in Abilene is 289 I believe but all together there's between the state line Louisiana State line in Texas all the way to Midland there's five different ones so you got your five chances to make sure you make it into a Taco casa anyways y'all have a great day try to stay dry cuz I know they've had some flooding be safe out there we'll talk with you later this is...

Yesterday was amazing, but today was horrible. I asked for regular nachos with everything on the side, but while I was talking, she kept cutting me off and asked if it's too go or for here. I don't mind it, but this happened more than once. She wouldn't let me finish with my order. I asked for a big thing of jalapeños because I got it yesterday instead of the tiny ones when I asked for big, but instead of giving me what I asked for, she just gave me one tiny container of jalapeños. The tiny containers aren't enough for the big box of nachos. That's why I asked for big??? She made me come back because of this, thankfully I checked my food before I left. I also requested Guacamole with my nachos, and she charged me for Guac and extra chips???! My friend from work didn't have that issue! It was like 12 bucks just to get some nachos! The food is amazing and quick, but I am disappointed with the hiring and management. SHE ALSO ASKED ME "You like a lot of peppers! Did your mother eat a lot of peppers with you?" VERY personal and VERY unprofessional!!! I just want my food, not to be interview as to why I like peppers!
