Mi Rancho just leveled up the dining scene in The Woodlands with this brand-new Gosling location. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we could feel the vibe: bold décor, festive lighting, and that perfect mix of energy, let’s cover all our bases:
Let’s talk service: Our waiter, Jon, was the MVP of the night. He was incredibly attentive the kind of server who’s already two steps ahead of you without hovering like a helicopter mom. He knew the menu and came through with his customer service.
Drinks The margarita lychee martini was a whole production, absolutely gorgeous presentation with the orchid garnish and the flavor to back it up. This wasn’t just a drink; it was a moment.
Food Highlights: I ordered the Steak de Rancho juicy, full of flavor, perfectly seasoned. My husband went with the Ribeye Tacos loaded with tender meat, fresh avocado, and cilantro. He barely looked up from his plate… which is basically a 10/10 review in hubby language.
Dessert Strategy: We closed the evening with churros & sopapillas. Crispy, warm, drizzled with cinnamon sugar and just the right amount of sweetness.
Bottom line: Mi Rancho on Gosling is delivering a top-tier dining experience, great atmosphere, incredible service, and food that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even paid the check. They’re not just hitting the mark… they’re raising the bar for Tex-Mex in The Woodlands.
Highly recommend & ask...
Read moreDecided to wait about 10 days so this new restaurant could “work out the kinks”. Should have waited a month. Everything seemed disorganized and random. Seating was erratic. Didn’t like the set up of the bar area: about 10 spaces at the bar; only 3 tables in the bar area. If you wanted to watch “the game” you would need to turn your neck at a 90 degree angle. Maybe they have a deal with a neighborhood chiropractor. We took a table and the Benches had crumbs on them-when I asked to have them swept off the waitress had to call someone else who came back with a broom and dustpan and swept under the table then finally wiped off the benches.
We naively thought we might watch a couple of innings of the World Series while we ate. Two TV’s weren’t turned on. When I asked if we could get them on, they finally were but never to the game. I know it’s not a sports bar but you have 15 TV’s for a reason, right? Drinks took a long time. Fajitas dry and chewy; about on a par with Taco Cabana. And a bit overpriced imo.
It’s too bad. We live less than 10 minutes away but I will drive further for a better...
Read moreI have just one thing to say about Mi Rancho: I wish I could give them ten stars on their food alone! This is, without a doubt, a rave review for a truly exceptional dining experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was seamless. We were greeted immediately at the door and seated right away no waiting, even without a reservation. The entire place was clean and felt welcoming. Our experience was elevated by our incredible server, who was both very friendly and prompt. Our drinks came out quickly, and after taking our order, the food came out fast and was absolutely piping hot. Every single order was correct, demonstrating the staff's attention to detail. The fantastic service continued when a manager came by to check on us, ensuring everything was perfect. But let's talk about the food. It is simply on another level! The flavors, the quality, and the freshness are all ten-star worthy. Mi Rancho delivers a spectacular meal coupled with top-tier service. Go. You won't be...
