D’s Peapod — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Ordered from J’s Peapod for YEARS. Will never order again. Order was taken by an employee who I could hardly understand. Thought I ordered 2 orders of pan fried noodle with shrimp. The only thing that arrived was 2 orders of pan fried noodles. Called back to say that I wanted 2 orders of the shrimp. Lady wanted to argue over that she repeated the order back. Told her sorry couldn’t understand her and that I’d like 2 orders of the shrimp to be placed minus the $4.25 they charged for just an order of the PFN. Lady just kept saying I repeated your order. Listen I get it but, NOW, I want the shrimp, that you get when you order shrimp with the pan fried noodles minus the noodles. They charge $13.50 for that order and instead of just subtracting the $4.25 to each order she wanted me to order the shrimp WITH the noodles AGAIN. I will NEVER be ordering from this place again. Well that was a Karate Chop to the neck. Very disappointed with this place very pricey $40 for 3 lunch specials and 4 egg rolls. $2 extra for shrimp fried rice with lunch special had no flavor. Orange piece with orange chicken haha was ok. Egg rolls were very thick to much dough, Beef and peapods was ok still missing that flavor and kungpao chicken with lo mein noodles was ok. Overall everything was too bland with no authentic flavor. Too bad it's a tuesday and Golden Tree restaurant on Burnham is closed I recommend that place 10 out of 10 way better and not that expensive everything there is excellent so is the chinese man that's there. I feel bamboozled!! I thought this place was affiliated, in some way with J's Peapod...NOT EVEN CLOSE. I ordered the chicken wings and a small egg foo young. The wings were very disappointing. They were flavorless, partially raw and fried in old oil. The egg foo young was flavorless. This was my first time calling a restaurant about their food but I really had to. The woman on the phone was very nice and asked for a picture of the wings, after reviewing she offered me a free item or store credit. I decided to get another item and chose the shrimp egg rolls...THEY WERE WORST!!! This was my first and last time...
