Racist towards Black Americans. I was completing a DoorDash order and received nasty looks as soon as I walked in. The older lady at the counter barely wanted to address me and after finally doing so, acted like she didn’t want to give me the order. I guess I’m going to steal this order after introducing myself and showing the confirmation receipt which has the order number, customer name and person picking it up which was me. I don’t understand the “uneasiness” because why offer doordash for your business in the first place? I never had this experience with any other place of business. Even the patrons in there were giving me a nasty look, making smart comments and giggling. After quadruple checking the receipt and even asking the girl should she give it to me she regretfully handed it over. I even thanked her and she just ignored me and began talking mess with a patron. All of this made me late in delivering the order to the customer. Thank goodness he was understanding and didn’t hold me at fault. I find this racist behavior extremely ironic considering they aren’t white themselves and how dare they make Black people feel unwelcome and like criminals considering how they are stereotyped and treated. Also major tip, don’t assume that just because a person is Black that they can’t understand basic Spanish. Black people please spend your hard earned...
