Los Tacos — Restaurant in Thornton Township

When this place was a small joint off of 147th & Halstead, it was amazing. Now that they're in a larger location, they've become the basic, standard taco place like everywhere else. My latest visit, (which will probably be my last time for a while)I ordered 3 steak tacos,with onion and cilantro, to go. When I got to work, and took my first bite of the 1st taco I instantly knew two things: the meat was reheated and it was toooooo salty. The old Los Tacos would have never served those tacos. The only reason I didn't take them back is because I was already on the other side of town and had work to do. It was a waste of my money. I'm giving them 3 stars simply because I remember what it used to be like and I am hoping they will too. I neverjudge a restaurant by one dish or one day (unless it's absolutely disgusting the 1st time) because everyone is entitled to a bad day every once and a while. However, the last 3 visits have been less than the standard they themselves set when they where in that hole in the wall place. I hope they get back to excellence. Until I hear they've improved, I probably won't be back...

I almost went into convulsions wen they were closed over the holidays! The BEST Mexican ove had in a LOOOOOONNNGGHG time! I JUST ordered from there again, and AGAIN it's like they PURPOSELY ignore wat u order! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after 4 times I asked to NOT have hot sauce in my order, and I asked for lime wedges and NOT get lime wedges while watching maybe the owner eating tacos w/ lime, it's starting to seem as if the customer is being ignored! This was me & my wife first time trying it and it was so good the steak was so flavorful I’ll definitely be back the fries was so good I never had fries wit some type of season on I made it home they was cold but i still ate them no only complain have is get some diet cokes for the pops lol .
