Wanted to take the fam to a sit down pizza place and the Marcos in Arvada was super nice so we decided to try this place. Donāt come here.
We came in and they have a. Full dining room but it seems kind of silly to advertise dine in service, as they send you through the carry out flow any way so you can huddle at your table with box like a crazy person.
We went through two tables before we found one that could support any weight, and even that table was covered in sticky mess.
Weāve already paid for our food so weāre just going to grab it and go, it seems like thatās what they want any way.
The girl working the register was not completely rude, but she sure wasnāt trying to offer any information. There was no way to tell how to dine in, is it hostess seating? Do we seat ourselves? Do we have a waitress? NO. I can handle all of that but for crying out loud put some signage up or at least be prepared to answer questions about it.
The person who I assume is the manager (balding, grey polo shirt, stood out from the rest) didnāt seem really into helping the very frustrated patrons at the front either.
My guess is that this used to be a good store. Itās in a superb location to make a ton of money. But it looks like they closed for COVID and still havenāt fully opened back up, which is sad because Iāve been to Marcoās before that are super fun and great food.
Tables are dirty with food from Iām guessing customers from hours ago. The floor feels stickier than a fly stuck in honey tangoing with a strip of duct tape.
The staff seems like they donāt want to be here, which became the norm during the āessentialā nonsense during COVID, but itās like they didnāt get the memo that you can open all the way up now.
Marcos: either open this location fully or close it. This half way stuff is losing you money.
To add insult to mildly infuriating injury, when I went to the site to enter my receipt code for the survey, the site sent me straight to the ordering websiteā¦pretty slick, Marco. Iām not ordering another pizza, ya dink.
So to go ahead and land this planeā¦I will likely go try the Arvada restaurant next week. This one is an absolute cesspool, and nowhere near the quality that Iāve seen at other stores across the country. The staff donāt want to be here and the physical store shows that. Hereās to hoping the food isnāt absolutely dreadful because I may just wind up going to Pizza Hut, and donāt nobody want...

I was actually inpressedd because the new management honored the promise to make it right, and he did. So way to go, Marocs. I'll give the bew environment 5 stars for service and 5 for atmosphere. Seems like a cool lil chill spot to sit and have some pizza š.
Marcos pizza was a great spot until Christmas Eve I called to inquire about hours and the girl said we are open I said let me look at the menu and I'll call you right back. Mind you I was 10 min from the location. I called back and the Manger answered and I proceeded to order. He then respond back with im sorry unfortunately we are closed. I said that's funny I just spoke to someone that I told i was on the way and needed to look at rhe menu. I quickly hung up after ok thanks. Since I had already driven 20 min to get there I decided to just pull up. Guess what, the door was open and he took my order with out even knowing it was me on the phone. They cooked the pizza and as I exited the premises everyone shouted we are finally closed. So a 1 star for service. The pizza was rushed. The first thing that I remembered about my first Marco's pizza from this location was it was a great pizza with garlic butter on the crust and exceptional service by the cook. It brought me back for another but this time. Dry crust no garlic butter on the crust. Just get him out of here mentality. NEVER AGAIN Marco's. You need to address your manager about his lack of leadership and service to all customers not just the ones who are willing to show up despite being told the place was closed. Im sure every sale counts. My pizza was almost 30.00. The large Philly Cheese Steak pizza.
Update: Called store in response to the reviews response. I spoke with a General Manager Named Manny. He promised to make right the wrong and have a conversation with his leader who told me the store was clowed. I was perhaps told by an owner "" to contact them but they gave Me no information on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time trying Marcos and i was excited to try a new pizza place that was nerby. I placed an online order and was given the time to pickup. Walked in and the guy who is taking orders says my order isn't ready and says it's going to be another 25 plus minutes and laughs about it. Then he goes to the back and pretends to do something at the counter, then comes back around and takes an order over the phone. After he gets off the phone I asked if I can just get a refund and he said he can't do that. Apparently the only person we can do that is the manager making pizzas. So I wait another 15 minutes for this guy to say something to the manager. Then he yells across the counter if you see an order for her, cancel it. Then he tells me I'll make sure you get a refund and is basically telling me to leave. I told him I'm going to stay to make sure I get refunded.. Then a lady walks in with her son and asked for a small pizza and then he won't let her order a small pizza. Then proceeds to tell her, " I recommend getting the medium " like I get he's trying to help but this guy's customer service skills are awful. This guy proceeds to ignore me and then I ask him do you have a number for a GM or corporate and he says he doesn't.. Then he's manager tells him he needs to put a hold on all orders moving forward so he can catch up. So this guy, doesn't tell any customer that walks in and proceeds to take orders and doesn't even tell people how long it's going to take. I've made pizzas at a pizza joint for years and have been in customer service... this isn't how you treat customers... and guess what, I still didn't receive a confirmation for the refund and i didnt get the order .. so we will see what happens. I'm not one to be a "Karen" but this is absolutely...
