This is a gem of an Indian restaurant. I believe they opened recently and I've already been there twice.
It's kid-friendly and located in a neighborhood near a light rail station vs. a strip mall like most other Indian restaurants, which makes finding parking easy. It's often places like this with unassuming, non-descript interiors that have the best food.
So far, I've had the samosa chaat, chicken masala, chicken vindaloo, chicken jalfrezi, aloo gobi, butter naan, veggie samosa, and mango lassi. Each dish has been incredibly flavorful.
If you haven't tried samosa chaat before, try it – it's a popular Indian street food and a great starter.
They will ask you how spicy you want it, but just a heads up that their "hot" is pretty spicy compared to typical restaurants.
The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the portions are generous – I always leave with leftovers.
The only thing missing is a bowl of mukhwas (candied fennel seeds) at the door to help digestion and freshen your breath, otherwise, it's perfect.
Given their location, they may not get a lot of foot traffic so make sure to tell your friends - or even better take them there. Let's support...
Read morePlaced an online order for pick up, and I was told it would be ready by x time. I arrive at said time to pick up my order and it’s not even seemingly been started yet (30 minutes after I place the order). Also BEWARE their website adds a 25% tip to online orders and I was unaware of this until after I received the charge on my account I did not see anywhere in checkout for a tip period. Also, if you have to wait 20 minutes to pick up your food they don’t even offer you water for waiting so the tip is pointless. Definitely debated having them refund my order instead of continuing to wait and eat shitty meal prep food instead
Update: I waited 45 minutes for my order so over an hour after I placed the order. When I got in with my order it was extremely disappointing, my naan was doughy in places and definitely undercooked, my pakora was soggy so definitely undercooked, and had zero spice to it at all, it was exceptionally bland and my samosas were also undercooked. I’m not even touching the entrees because they are chicken and with everything else rushed and undercooked I’m really scared to try...
Read moreWe tried biryani, and it was not good. I would call it biryani.
Reply: I saw the reply from the owner and I felt like 2 star review I provided should be changed to one star. They simply replied saying that the order was from another location.
Here is the detailed review from my side about my visit.
The location of the restaurant is located inside the resident area (that is what we felt) so I had to double check on the google map before going. There is a parking parking lot beside the road. After entering the main door, they had a doormat on the floor, I almost slipped on it. They were not even sorry about it. Just saw me about to fall and was trying to push it to fix it. We were group of 6 people, we ordered biryani and some curry and non of us liked the food. The naan was not cooked well so I had to asked them to return it and bring the cooked one.
I regularly write reviews about the places I visit. If I don't like the food, I make sure I leave the review so it is helpful for others. I could say out of 6 friends visiting that place, non of us liked...
