The food was disappointing. I had high hopes because I love Markieke Gouda, I got a bowl of French onion soup. It being a cheese factory I assumed there would be cheese and bread on it, like a traditional French onion soup. So when it didn't it was very disappointing, and a small serving. Then my aunt got a ribeye steak sandwich, she asked for it medium well it was undercooked. When she brought it back to get a grilled cheese, they acknowledged that it wasn't done and gave her the employee discount on the grilled Gouda. The fries and cheese curds are good. Staff is super nice. We have stopped here many times and always enjoyed it. Sometimes we enjoy a full lunch, burger, grilled cheese or Mac and cheese (my son loves it here), fries are nice and crunchy. The cheese curds are pretty darn delicious too. Not greasy and the breading has a nice crunch. Hard for us to stop and pick up some cheese without grabbing a bite to eat. This last time it was just a quick snack with cheese curds and fries and it was served quick and we were on our way! First time visitors and were quite disappointed in the food quality. The burger was quite small and extremely overcooked. Dry as a bone. On top of that I expected a good amount of gouda to sample with the burger and the gouda was so minimal it was barely noticeable. My wife got the grilled cheese and similar disappointment. Tiny sandwich with a very limited amount of cheese. We actually had zero experience of the Gouda in either meal. Perhaps they're trying to save money, but we expected quite a bit better.
