Thought I'd stop with my lil man a few weeks back for a "I DONT HAVE TO COOK" meal as I was running some errands and was just too Tired & wanted a break... WHAT A MISTAKE. Jayden nearly threw up just from looking at the ketchup bottle on the table as it was so disgustingly gunked up and LITERALLY had dead bugs stuck in it & was blackened from God knows what else. Waited a while to get a waitress back to get her to take it away. Then waited almost 10 minutes for his drink. Then as his sandwich was special ordered and not brought over as ordered and took nearly 25 Minutes to get (& no, it wasn't busy at all...I think there was 6 other customers) I was EXTREMELY disgusted. Then when the bill came, even though the manager / owner?? noticed there were issues, as well as the 2 waitresses that we were dealing with knew as well did, there was no discount nor was there an offer for one, nor at ANYTIME did ANYONE come and ask how our meal was!!! So when I went to pay I asked if it was normal practice to just let it be that customers pay FULL PRICE FOR SUCH A DISASTROUS MEAL, the gal took my card, charged the full price from the bill, awaited my signature, as I still waited for some form of restitution..as 3 of them looked on & still... NOTHING...so I just shook my head in utter disgust... signed the slip, grabbed my card & walked out... WITHOUT LEAVING A TIP OF COURSE!! I have to say, I was SHOCKED. I had eaten there a couple times over the past couple of years... whether or not it was the same management or not, I'm not certain, but I do know, I will not "give myself a break like that again"!!!! Some break. Left there hungry, disgusted, & irritated at myself for "taking the ez way out"!!! And felt even worse for putting Jayden through it...he was SOOOO grossed out over the ketchup bottle and never did get to really eat because of it. (& He doesn't even like ketchup)! :O. Think twice is...
Read moreWhile eating here today I witnessed something that no one should have to witness going into a place to eat lunch. The manager/ lady in charge was a very rude woman to a young worker there. The young lady was sweeping the floor and wiping down tables when we arrived. Greeted us with a smile and was kind. While we were eating I overheard the manager say something to the young lady about not picking up a plate. Mind you she was seeping floors and doing other things. The restaurant was not busy. The manager told another worker. I pay this girl $10 an hour for this!!! And the young girl was holding back tears. The manager then continues to downgrade the young girl and she couldn’t hold the tears back anymore. I felt so bad for this girl I couldn’t even finish my dinner. When I left I handed the young girl the tip and told the manager she should be ashamed of herself. This young girl is working and doing a good job there is no reason she should be crying. We are not from the town but come there once and month and always eat there no more will that happen. I hope that young lady finds a better job that appreciates her...
Read moreI am torn between a 3.5 and a 3.0 review. Kind of like this place - old school, family friendly and like a supper club for lunch. That was the good part. The place was a mess (apparently they just had a rush, ok, NP). We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer and some sandwiches. One sandwich came out, then another 10 minutes later, then the other two 10 minutes after that. We asked about the curds and they said “oh yeah”, and they came out about 10 minutes later. Soup was also supposed to come with the meal (didn’t really want it but it was part of the meal) but never came. Asked about it and they said “oh yeah”, and delivered it after everyone was done. Almost an hour later we finished our lunch. Similar problems with silverware, waters, ketchup, mustard, napkins, etc. you get the idea. Nothing was bad once it came, but nothing was good. I really wanted to like this place, but I guess I would...
