Been frequenting this place for a long time. Food is good and mistakes happen but this time it just irked me. I ordered food today for lunch hour over the phone for pickup. A man said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Great! I got there about 15 minutes later. I asked for my order and they asked for my name however the person on the phone never asked for my name. The lady proceeded to tell me the total and said "it will be right out" - No acknowledgement of any issue whatsoever.
20 minutes later while having to watch other people with takeout orders come in and leave, my food comes and she just plops the order on the counter and recites the order, never once even looking at me or acknowledging the wait time or mistake. As I get up from the chair, she has already left and walking away.
It is obvious the person never recorded my order as I could see her entering the order as I was standing there initially. I was not asking for anything except for maybe a simple acknowledgement of the situation. Received nothing, just a 20 minute late food - At least it was hot.
Staff needs to be trained on basic customer service. Stuff happens and I'm ok with it, but it's the lack of empathy that really gets me.
I realize it was busy at that time but just taking one quick moment to provide basic customer service seemed to be too much to ask. Learn from your mistakes...

I decided to venture in with my son on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. Prayers our name on a list and we were seated in less than 5 minutes... I always go for a beef or tenderloin phó, so I went ahead and ordered, with no sides. The food strivers on about 5 mins and the service was excellent. The staff keep checking with everyone and the food was equally as good. Definitely a new favorite. When I come back I'll definitely try the Vietnamese spring rolls... My son has tried a couple other phó restaurants with me in the last couple months and he felt this was the...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. I very rarely eat out- I love to cook and make a lot of my own food but once in a while I just don’t feel like cooking or I have a hankering for something that is not one of my usual cooking staples- this is one of my two go-to spots in Newbury Park. The fact that I can get a bowl of pho for around 10 bucks that lasts for two meals- I can never eat it all in one sitting- is an outstanding deal and it’s always so fresh and so good and it’s ready so quickly. seafood pho or veggie with tofu Are my top recommendations. The atmosphere- even though they don’t have dine it anymore -still feels very fresh and clean and professional. I...
