Viola Cafe has easily stepped into my favorite restaurant in Southwest Michigan! Located in Three Oaks, Michigan, Viola is a cafe that doesn't disappoint the appetite, wallet, or vibe. This restaurant is for all facets of occasions; it is great for meetings, conversations, dates, and casual dates. I enjoyed this restaurant, and the love here is evident.
The food was a homerun! I enjoyed the Salmon Benny, Omlete, tea, and Quiche. All of the first bites hit home for me. The Hollandaise Sauce was very good, and the sauce was not broken. The chef did their thing in the kitchen!
The service was absolutely incredible! We were greeted with compassion and treated like great customers. I appreciated my cup of water being filled frequently, I enjoyed the staff going over the menu with patience, and I love the hospitality. Very accommodating staff!
The atmosphere was so cozy! I love the picture perfect setting of the restaurant, the great conversations, the neatness of the restaurant, and how the restaurant catered to all walks and ages of life. The vibe was amazing!

Read moreWe were fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of Viola Café this week. While we have always loved the charm of this little gem in Three Oaks, the new owners have knocked it out of the park on every level. Service was friendly, attentive and had great suggestions for us. The décor was modern, yet not stark, a very nice soothing atmosphere, comfortable seating and tables spaced enough apart to enjoy your meal in your space. Prices were very good and the portions generous. Now the food – EVERYTHING we tasted was phenomenal. The dishes had the right amount of flavor, spice and uniqueness (due to the recipes of the owners’ family members). I’m not one who can eat too hot and the only dish I found too hot was the Nashville chicken po boy sandwich. While I couldn’t eat much of that, the bread they serve it on is amazing. We also had the unique and very tasty 3 bean salad, an AMAZING “old school” potato salad, the chicken/sausage gumbo, beignets you’d be hard pressed to think were not from Louisiana, fantastic collard greens and chicken salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. And that was just lunch. Had we arrived a bit earlier we could’ve tried breakfast, but we WERE able to get a smidge of a taste of the sausage gravy that goes on the biscuits. I don’t even eat that but was blown away by that taste. NEXT...
