Really bad customer service! we visited them in September. we were very hungry and bought expensive sandwiches. mine tasted nothing and was soggy and sad. but as I said I was hungry and ate two thirds before I gave up. then I saw that they threw away the sandwiches. just 10 minutes after I bought mine. I went and asked a nice woman why they did that. She replied that it was their policy, after a certain time. i said i thought it was strange that they didn't alert me that they were going to bring out new ones soon after i bought mine. I could have waited 10 minutes. the only thing i wished was that they paid back part of what i paid, in good fait. she was willing but had to ask a manager. he was cold and unfriendly. said there was nothing wrong with the sandwiches, just policy to throw them away. I understand that, but it's the customer perspective itself that I'm thinking of. they could have given me the option to wait for new sandwiches. he refused to give me even a drink to show good will. Bad to treat tourists like that! I was really sad and upset. Is this the famous american hospitality? I think not. To you male manager, Shame on you to ruin a very nice day. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!!!...
Read moreA good place for a snack at the Saturn V Center. This is located on the northeast side of the building close to the front of the rocket. It is a cafeteria-style affair with at least 2 main areas to choose your food. The first part is a deli-style where you can order several different types of sandwiches. The other area has pizza, salad, chicken tenders, french fries, and hamburgers. There are lots of drink choices with everything from soft drinks to juices and bottled water. You take your tray with your food and drink choices to a cashier stationed at the exit. I ordered a Cuban sandwich. It was freshly made and press-heated. The server was very friendly and efficient. The prices were reasonable for a sandwich. There are two choices to sit and eat your food: inside and outside. The inside area has several long tables with seats and the whole area seats about 100 people while offering air conditioning and a fabulous view of the rocket and lunar lander. The outside seating area has only about 8 tables with umbrellas but offers a lovely view of the launch pads. Overall, good food, and friendly staff, this is well worth the stop for a bite to eat if you are...
Read moreGreat experience for all. This cafe serves comforting American cuisine (burgers, pizza) at affordable prices. Its location, looming under the Saturn V rocket, provided a great atmosphere while dining. There were lots of seating areas were around the cafe, both inside and outside the exhibit.
Besides the seating, food was decent. I ordered the French dip (sandwich/dip) along with a salad as the side. The sandwich was packed with meat and a filling meal; the dip also added flavor. The salad was larger than expected and included typical ingredients. We also ordered burgers, both one and two patties. The buns and patties were perfectly cooked; the cheese enveloped the patty perfectly, delivering a delicious bite. It drew comparisons to quality restaurants among our family. Additionally, the patty was less greasy than most fast food. Our only complaint were the fries, which were soggy.
We were disappointed to find that no seating areas were out and in the sun, but the view of the center.
The Moon Rock Cafe is a perfect way to complement your visit to the Saturn V rocket exhibit and Kennedy Space...
