I gave it 4 stars for their amazing milkshakes, good sweet potato fries and marshmallow whip, and the cool drive up old style diner. I live in town and have tried their food many times now trying to give it another and other chance when my husband and I want their milkshakes to save stopping at two spots. But it isn't worth the money, service, disappointment, and some frustration with the food for us. We've had the jr burgers on the first visit, dined inside, and got what we expected with the waitress treating us well and asking how we wanted everything. It was an overall good experience and we fell in love with the milkshakes. I love malt and get chocolate shakes with it. They have little crunchy pieces in it, so yummy! Banana is fresh bananas and so on. I can't imagine having a bad experience with those. The S'mores one was different than I expected but not bad. Their customer service is hit or miss. A couple women I've seen there for a while are always good. Their newer online ordering system needs some work, you can't call to place orders, fyi. I recommend ordering when you are there for clarifications and fresh, hot/cold items. They are ready really fast anyway either way. They don't describe on their regular menu or when ordering online how their burgers or anything else comes. They come ketchup, mustard, and pickle I believe. From always ordering there they have put whip cream and a cherry on the shakes everytime but with the order online they didn't. I remember the option to pay extra to add each. I figured it was extra of it because they never had asked before and received it like that. They wouldn't refund something they were out of. When I arrived they gave me my order without letting me know so when I luckily saw, I went back in asking for it, found out, and asked for a refund (they don't call to let you know anything either) and was asked what I wanted instead so I just got the large fries in place of large onions even though they were less money then them. Paid for sauces they didn't give either originally. The large is the size of small at McDonald's for fries. When ordering the regular size burger and even getting a double the patties are still so small almost like McDonald's regular patties and the burgers just look so tiny. When we first got the jrs about a year ago, they were the same size! So I'm not sure whats what with that but they assured me those were my order and the regular doubles and large fries when I was confused. Their cheesesteak was pretty good from the bit of meat and cheese we found under the salad on top lol of bananas, tomato, and lettuce. It looked BIG but it was more cold veggies, truly. The large shake is a pretty sweet size for a shake. Without whip cream there was a gap missing even in those. It was just the icing on the cake, not really a big deal. This was the last time we went there about 3 weeks ago. With this experience we decided we'll go strictly for milkshakes. The most important thing for us was that the total was about $45 for a double with bacon without the fixings, a cheesesteak, the "large" fries, a couple ranches (for the onion rings lol) and two shakes. With the tip put in it was $50 something. So between service, value, and the headache it was beyond disappointing and frustrating. I write more review these days as a bit of a foodie and because for the past year in town here and with so much change since Covid, we know businesses have really declined in service, gone up in issues, we've wasted and had too much unrefunded money or not replaced items, and too often the food isn't that good. It can be quite upsetting after a while. So I give my honest options after wonderful, bad, and some decent experiences to assist fellow customers. And hey if businesses check them out hopefully they will consider what we think too. We've all been and are still going through tougher times and I hope customer service, consistency, and quality can still be strived for while we all just have to pay the extra bucks either way. We deserve and even...
Read moreParty of two went there during our Florida vacation. A genuine throwback Drive-In, the only thing missing was the roller skates, lol! After a really really really bad day at the Orlando airport, we ended up here. Thank God for small favors! The waitress was friendly and attentive and pointed out a number of unique items that they had on the menu. We ordered an All American burger platter, and a bacon cheeseburger platter. Both of them included drinks and french fries as part of the order, for $11.... Yeah that wasn't a misprint, 11 bucks. Both hamburgers were incredibly flavorful with that whole season flat top thing going on. The onion rings were good, and the waitress promptly dealt with one of our orders of French fries not being perfectly hot. The homemade lemonade was actually just that. I honestly had a seed or two from lemons in my drink.
Finally, as chocolate frosting on ice cream cake.... A key lime pie milkshake that will change your outlook on life, lol. The graham cracker crumbles that were mixed in with the stuff of legend. And this comes from someone who is a bit of a key lime pie snob, lol. If you're in Titusville, you have to make this a destination stop!!! The photos below were from our second time there, when I had the footlong chili dog, which was equally...
Read moreWent there for dinner after an absolutely awful day of driving to Orlando and discovering our flight home had been canceled for the next 3 days. We just wanted to put some food in our stomach and go to bed.
The place was simply amazing. From coming out to your car to take the order, to the hang outside menus, to having the server tray hooked to the side of your door, it was awesome. We opted for the jumbo deluxe cheeseburger special that came with a side of fries and a drink for $10.99. just the basics, but done flawlessly. I haven't had a burger that good in quite some time. French fries weren't quite hot, but our waitress instantly brought us out a piping hot new order. The homemade lemonade was just to die for! On top of that just on the spur of the moment, I ordered the key lime milkshake. It actually tasted like key lime!! Two burgers two sides of fries an order of onion rings, two large drinks, and a milkshake, all for less than $35, including the tip???. Why can't we have nice things like this in upstate New York? It was so good, we actually went back there the next night and ordered again, lol. Definitely on our bucket list for our next visit...
