Lickity Split — Restaurant in Toledo

I don’t even know where to begin but I went to Lickity today just to get some ice cream for me and my family. … My husband ordered ,the first problem was the lady was not paying any attention at all to our order, and paused just to ask him if we were dating when he said no we’re married she shot a dirty look and goes “and she’s pregnant oh my god .”(in a snarky tone) , When I said thank you she closed the window, that didn’t bother me. What really upset me was the person who handed me our order. He set the pup cups down nicely that’s all fine and good BUT when our ice cream came out dude practically threw it at me. I didn’t say anything about it , my second one came out and it was already melted all over the place, me being the person I am still did not say anything about it. The orders were correct but the customer service we got and attitudes that came along was unacceptable. I go here regularly during summer when they are open as I live in the neighborhood . There was even an instance where they were rude to the couple behind us and their dog. I’ve never personally had an issue with them...

I really loved this place and visit often because it is in the neighborhood and we want to support local, despite the price.

But today changed everything. They got one of the ice creams wrong, and when we told the young lady what we ordered, they said it costed more and that they couldn’t change it. How upsetting to hear right after the lady right before us said her order was wrong and they offered to fix it for her 🤷🏻‍♀️ I told her that it wasn’t what we ordered and she proceeded to tell me that they can’t change it because it costs more. I told her that I left a nice tip because I expected my order to be correct and she said fine, give me that ice cream back. She fixed it, and when my food came out (15minutes later), the fries were so salty, I couldn’t even eat it. What a horrible experience. I don’t think I would have been so upset, but after hearing how they would fix the other customers order, and not mine is disheartening, and then the audacity to ruin the rest of my food was...

An annoying situation when using a debit card - I wanted to purchase a medium soft serve.which came to under $5.00. Apparently you can only use a debit card for anything over for. Needless to say, I had to order a large soft serve and then add sprinkles to get it to the $5.00 mark. I definitely didn’t want to order that much but I was already there after taking the time to drive and didn’t want to go somewhere else ok the other side of town. The reasoning for not using debit cards for under $5.00 was “tax purposes”. Lastly, there is no signage indicating this policy - a nice touch after...
