Nardelli’s Grinder Shoppe — Restaurant in Torrington

Ordered 2 full grinders. Was expecting them to be as good as the first time we ordered. The baked stuffed pastrami was disappointing - very little pastrami flavor and the vege mix was all bunched up on the "spine" of the roll so had to deconstruct the sandwich to spread it out so it could be enjoyed with every bite. The bacon mushroom chicken was even more disappointing. Was expecting bacon and mushrooms in each bite or at least most, but found only 5 small mushroom pieces on the entire grinder. The bacon was almost non existent. Really had to search for it and found 2 teeny pieces of what looked like uncooked fat. Glad the bread, chicken, and vege mix were good. Nobody greets you when you walk in or looks enthusiastic about helping you when they do. The gentleman making the sandwiches messed up two out of my three sandwiches and just awkwardly stared at me when I brought them back. Apparently wanting what you pay for is offensive to him. Then there was a random girl just standing behind the corner staring at everyone who walks in, but she never actually helped anyone or even offered service. It was the most awkward and dysfunctional service I have had in years. Sorry guys, never going back and it’s a shame because I live around the corner. My only real complaint is anytime you order through door dash or over the phone my order is never right EVER!! If I wanted my sandwich toasted I’d put that in the notes or say that however when I go out of my way to say not toasted and they still do it’s annoying! If I ask for certain things not to be on my sandwich and you still do it is just them being lazy! Clean you press so the sandwiches don’t have a weird burnt taste that isn’t appetizing! Also if I ask certain things on my sandwiches please just do it!!!
