I would give zero if I could.
My family and I were traveling when we decided to stop and eat here, we got inside and sat ourselves and they took our drink order. We put in a small food order of just one burger and a side of fries. We waited over 30 minutes and never received our food. We asked but the waitress just kept saying it’ll be out soon. Another 15 minutes pass and still haven’t received our burger and fries. We ask again and get told the same thing, it’ll be out soon. I asked the lady if it was close to ready and she couldn’t give us an answer other than soon. They never once apologized for it taking so long. After sitting and waiting for almost a full hour, we decided we would find somewhere else to eat. We didn’t pay for our drinks or food, because we never received it on over an hour. We went out to our ATV and an older man (probably the owner) followed us out and started yelling and he was leaning into our vehicle and getting onto my dads face. He was yelling at us for not paying and because our food was now done and we weren’t in there to eat it. At one point he even yelled at us asking what other people ordered?! It made no sense. The yelling went on for a couple minutes and they only way I could get rid of him was to get a $10 bill out and raise my voice to be heard over him and I told him to get out of our faces. If this is their version of “customer service” then I will absolutely never be a customer...
Read moreDecent, clean little diner. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars was there prices were high, plus they automatically tack on a 12% "service fee" to be shared with all employees (unless you specifically tell them not to). Omelettes & skillets are up around $20, so my buddy and I dropped around $55-$60 total for an omelette, a skillet, 2 coffees, the service fee, a slightly reduced tip for our waitress and tax. The food was very good. Portions were just ok. The 2 person tables are much too small. Service was very good and we would have left a bigger tip for our young server had we not known part of that service fee was going to them already. To the restarant- I tip up to 20% for good service. If you are going to make people (unless they make an awkward rejection) pay a service fee to be shared by all staff, your waitstaff will often receive highly reduced tips. Because of your prices and fees I will probably look elsewhere next time. Loose the service fee; pay your cooks a decent wage and motivate your waitstaff by having them receive their full tips for...
