DO NOT DINE HERE! This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We traveled to 2 forks last night for my grandmother/mother’s 65th birthday and the dinner started out with no problems. We were a couple minutes late so we called, the hostess were very nice and said it was no problem. We show up and talked to the hostess about it being her birthday and that we wanted to buy a piece of cake to bring over. They said no problem, we’ll talk to your waitress about it. We sat, ordered 2 drinks waiting for the rest of our party. The drinks were served in whiskey glasses, if you’re charging $8 or more a drink it needs to be in a proper mixed drink glass. Fast forward, we ordered the calamari and bruschetta. Calamari, delicious. I’ll give credit where it’s due. The bruschetta, STOP SERVING IT. The bread of soggy and not toasted, big slab of mozzarella and way over garliced diced tomatoes. Now, the entrees, we had to send back 3 different times. We got a 12oz ribeye that was 100% not a 12oz, and was ordered medium rare which came out well beyond, never to see the new steak again until we all finished our meal and we’re just ready to go. We ordered a lobster roll, served on a soggy crushed hot dog bun, a very dark fish fry from unchanged fryer oil, and scallop tacos which didn’t have any complaints besides the high amount of garlic in the sauce. Then we ordered a cheeseburger with no lettuce or tomato. We got a hamburger on a very burnt bun with lettuce and tomato. Sent it back. Came back again, with no cheese and a burnt bun. Sent it back again to get an untoasted bun and cheese. We seen our waitress 2 times. No refills, nothing. We had to grab other waitress walking by to help us try to find her and instead the very kind waitress just started helping us because she couldn’t find ours. Not a single one of us finished more than half our meal and we were all just trying to stay positive and not make a big deal because after all we were there for a birthday. We paid and left. Oh and that piece of cake we asked for, never came. We will never go to this restaurant again and will never recommend this...
Read moreFood and service from our waitress Sam (Samantha) was EXCELLENT!
I had the lobster special, 2 fresh Maine lobsters, half ear of corn on the cob and coleslaw. Lobster was fantastic, prepared to perfection and they were good sized. The corn was tender and tasty and the coleslaw was VERY good! I also had the lobster bits wrapped in bacon on a skewer. They were phenomenal!! The photo shows one skewer, there were two with 3 bits on each. They were an entree and came with some really good onion rings.
My beautiful Girlfriend had the shrimp and steak meal. The shrimp was on a skewer and cooked to perfection. VERY favorable and tender. The steak she chose was a NY Strip and it was delicious as well. For a entree she picked the bruchetta bread. Bread was warm, bruchetta was tasty and it was covered with chopped up fresh tomatoe's and garlic with, I believe, a seasoned olive oil. The photo is of one piece, there were 4 in a serving. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
Also inside is a fully stocked bar. I didn't audit all of what they had but I was a bartender in my days and it appeared to have the vast majority of favorites from lower end to mid/upper end liquors and a pretty wide variety of beers.
Our waitress Sam was a delight. Fast, friendly and attentive to our needs. She was knowledgeable about their menu and offered suggestions. We love Sam!!
We purposely picked a time that they weren't quite as busy and the current location is rather small but they did have outdoor seating with patio heaters available. On our way out I met the manager/owner. VERY friendly guy. He mentioned they will be moving to a larger location soon. More than double the size of the current one.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend you making a stop at 2 Forks Up! There is something for everyone on the menu but their seafood is among the best I have had in the area by far! They have a good sized menu and offer some really unique items you don't normally see off the coast and they are very fresh and affordable for the meal you are getting.
I give them 5 stars...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for the first time with my husband and my son on a Friday night. We had been talking about going for a while and were excited to give it a try. On a whim, we went for dinner without a reservation. When we arrived, it was pretty full, but they fit us in. We ordered our beverages and were pleased with the local beer selection on tap. My son ordered pizza logs, I ordered the ribeye special and my husband ordered the fish fry with a cup of soup. The soup came within 10 minutes. There were only 2 wait staff working and 90% of the restaurant was full. I always give the benefit of the doubt to anything new I try, and felt sorry for the wait staff, who were also in charge of seating people and bussing tables. Unfortunately, it took about 40 minutes for my salad to arrive. Our waitress apologized that they had forgotten about it. Our entrees came shortly after. I was surprised that overall we had to wait almost an hour to be served our dinners. I had ordered my steak medium, but it arrived rare. I was trying to eat it, but to me it was unappealing. I have never sent anything back to a kitchen in my life, for any reason (since usually I feel guilty doing so). I ended up sending it back so they could throw it back on for a bit. The waitress apologized and returned with it a few minutes later, perfectly cooked. I was quite happy with it. My husband's fish fry was lightly fried, which was wonderful. It was not loaded down with weighty batter like some. His clam chowder was incredible. The broth was perfect and it was seasoned beautifully. My son loved his pizza logs, that were stringy cheesy - the best kind in his opinion! But, the star of the table were the wing fries. We all loved them! They were crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. We did not order dessert, since the meal itself was almost a 2 hour trip. It was getting late and we were all tired from the week. I hope to return when either they are more staffed or less busy to give it...
