So we are regular attendees. We have loved everything , until our last 2 visits. I ordered the chori Pollo. It's delicious, the first time I ordered it I got 3 HUGE THICK pieces of chicken. It was incredible. The last time I ordered it the chicken was paper thin and had holes in it. I sent it back they remade it , and it was thin see thru chicken again. Tonight, I asked our server how the chicken was , as she explained to us the previous visit that they had "new chefs"who were still learning. So I asked her about the Pollo Yucatan, and if it was a good chicken dish , meaning is the chicken sliced so thinly it's see thru, and she checked and said it would be a good one. We'll I ordered it and received paper thin chicken. Again. I am done w chicken with this place for the forseeable future with this place. The margaritas are lacking as well. They used to be the best!!!* like hands down we would drink them down. Something has changed they are sweeter with less bite. So casa azteca is great. But lacking on some important things. They have 1 more chance before we move them into the has beens restaurants of good Mexican food and margs. I really hope they can get it together. Everything tasted good, but for the money paper thin chicken is unacceptable, as are sub par margaritas.

There were four of us dining in on a Tuesday night, 2 adults and 2 children. We all like Mexican food except for one of the children. They immediately sat us upon arrival, weren't packed but weren't slow. There were pictures of most plates on the menu to help you decide what to get if you're unfamiliar with the cuisine. Seated with salsa and chips. My husband and I both got the chimichangas(steak for one and chicken for the other). We cleaned the plates. They were perfectly fried and coated with a delicious queso and all the trimmings. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection with tender meat. One kid got tacos and fries and the other got a burger and fries. Both kids ate their entire plate. With two lemonades for the kids and two iced teas for adults it came to $53 after tax. I think the kids meals were 6.99 and adult chimichangas were 16. The decor was beautiful and there was even a water fountain in the middle of the restaurant the kids enjoyed and threw a penny in and made a wish. I've been to a few other places and the food was not great but this place....it was outstanding, we'll be craving it until we visit again...which will be soon!

Went with friends for dinner to Casa Azteca, and had such a great time! We were seated promptly, our server was attentive and gracious, the drinks were delightful, and the FOOD! Omg it was all so good. I had the michelada, which I found delicious (don't get it if you don't like tomato juice), and the enchiladas rancheras, which were SO GOOD! My friends had the fajitas, street tacos, and Diablo burrito (VERY spicy! In the best way). Everyone really enjoyed it, and we will definitely be coming back!

First We have been patronizing Casa Azteca since they opened. First 4 meals generous portions great flavor and AWESOME attention by staff. Then on my 3 daughters birthdays I went twice and encounters were HORRIBLE!!! Food blandnone of that original Mexican flavor. Service was lackluster and our server really did not pay any attention to our table of 10. I was appalled as the managers response both times were by his attitude and verbage dismissive and offered NOT EVEN A DISCOUNT FOR THE INEDIBLE FOOD SERVED AND LACK OF ATTENTION(WE even had to clean our own table and get our own silverware which was filthy! I gave a 5 star rating to this restaurant in December 2023. Now the last straw: Cinco De Mayo 2024 Called to make reservations told would not take reservations Arrived at restaurant for dinner told 1.5 hour wait then after 45 minutes told no more seats available we could order to go only Upset but ordered 52 dollars of takeout Got home only to find out we had wrong takeout order. Called manager Nina was told they would NOT REMAKE best she could do was put my name pH # and she would credit me for next time I visited and to MAKE SURE to mention her name Nina and Rafael that we could get our order remade! Threw out the food and ordered subs Revisited restaurant THE SAME RUDE BOY that told us we could not reserve a table had 2 reserved tables. I explained our situation he said " I will have to speak to the OWNER RAFAEL. He returned to state " Owner says okay but you must order and leave with it. ( we probably would have spent 100 at the bar anyway) We ordered and manager says "okay let me run this by The Owner again" who returned with Owner Rafael who then states" maybe I can give you a small discount but I am not honoring this as Nina doesn't work here" I then reminded him that we are good customers and had spent over 1000 dollars since they opened and would like to keep patronizing his restaurant but expected SOME customer appreciation/service OR WE WOULD TAKE OUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE to wit he commented OKAY I DO NOT CARE!!! PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE GO TO COSTA GRANDE on Grant Avenue in Auburn NY.

  1. FOOD TERRIBLE AS FOOD QUALITY CHEAPER THAN MOST TACO BELL RESTAURANTS
  2. OWNER SERVING INFERIOR PRODUCT CHARGING WAY MORE FOR BLAND FOOD
  3. OWNER does not know what customer service is and only knows HOW TO TAKE YOUR MONEY and has NO RESPECT FOR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. MARGARITAS AT Costa Grande AND the food is AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FARE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE TOO

AVOID CASA AZTECA IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY AND HEALTH. DONT GET SICK AT CASA...

I changed my first fair review to this one because it's not letting me create a 2nd, which I think is absolutely necessary. Anyway, the servers I've had from there are terrible! Went tonight because my boyfriend wanted to try it. I told him of my 1st experience there, which was stressful due to the server, but I agreed to try again. Once seated at a completely empty table, meaning no silverware, napkins, etc. The server never brought silverware, in fact ,didn't appear to act like that was her job! The table next to us also had no silverware. Once our food came, as well as table next door looking around for server/anyone at this point in time with no resolve except to find tables around us that HAD SILVERWARE oh, they were empty tables by the way. As our section provided for ourselves with exceptence of our behavior due to a complete failure of service, we began to eat the food. The food was bland, we asked for sauce, she said she could only provide hot sauce so we passed. I wanted sour cream but she immediately turned to other table and later I got napkins and sour cream. Our tables drink never got refilled or asked for refill. I wanted out of there so bad again for 2nd time. The person cleaning up tables and rearranging tables was DRAGGING the chairs across the floors like chalk on a chalkboard most of the time we were trying to eat. The owners need to be more involved with quality control in dining room rather then the bar or kitchen! I really wanted to go to Costa Grande where you get the absolute best service as well as a larger menu with authentic foods, it's not a chain either. Thankfully my boyfriend agrees 💯 go to Costa Grande if...
