A very flavorful meal. Establishment needs work.
Food: 5/5 - Some interesting flavors. I ordered the Fire Island Tacos (which was VERY tasty) and the Hicksville Taco was good as well. The ingredients seemed fresh. The food was served in a hard shell wrapped in a soft shell. This is a nice idea. It keeps it from falling apart.
Service: 3/5 - There was only 1 person working in the place. She was the cook and order taker. Food was packaged well in the to-go containers. I was the only one ordering lunch and it took about 8 minutes from start to finish.
Atmosphere: 2/5 - The establishment needs improvement. The huge chalkboard that you order from is unorganized. It's hard to figure out what you can get and the prices. There is a to-go flyer at the register that's more organized. The soda machine was partially broken. Seems rundown. No theme or elements of interest. Some seating for 2. Lighting is basic.
Cleanliness: 2/5 - When you walk in, it smells a bit musty. The eating area failed some rudimentary dust checks. The back of the house seemed clean but not spotless. The cook was wearing a hat, but no gloves.
Parking: 3/5 - Shared lot outside. Not very big and can get filled up quickly.
Restrooms: N/A - didn't visit.
Value: 3/5- 3 tacos we ordered came to about $15.48. Kinda steep. But the flavor was above average. The portion size filled me up.
Overall: 4/5 - The food was the star of the show. It's what will make me come back.
Advice to management: You need to spend about $5000 to get a modern wallboard for ordering and for a deep clean, get some decor to liven...
Read morePretty standard tex mex. My co worker really liked his Cajun chicken burrito and It did look like a large portion. I also like that they make the tortillas fresh to order. However what really drives down my review, was the Birria tacos. You get 4 tacos for $15 which sounds pretty decent but they woulda been better off doing 3 tacos and making more of each taco. 3 of the 4 had nearly no meat. They were so light on meat that it was almost imperceptible in the overall flavor and couldn't even stretch the whole length of the small tortilla, let alone the entire other half of the folded portion that was empty. They also went super heavy on white onions. Each taco is topped with a fairly large amount that goes beyond flavoring and just over powers the already nearly not there meat. Pair that with a fairly weak consume that's got a whole heaping of raw white onion as well and you get essentially onion tacos. If I was only getting this item I would have rated 2 stars. It was edible but barely above what I'd consider cafeteria food. Biria tacos should be the highlight of any taco spot as its simplicity let's them shine or fall apart depending on how they use the flavors and presentation. There are so many strong contenders out there for Biria and tacos in general. This was an easy to forget spot that may only shine on Tuesdays when basic...
Read moreEvery single time I order from this place they get my order wrong but man was this time the last time I ever give them another try. I was told I would be given a credit for them screwing up my order, I was supposed to get $10.50 back and was only give $3. I called the store and the disrespectful lady that answered had the nerve to ask me if I'm really fighting over $4, she told me to come down to the store and she would give it to me it to me out of her own pocket bc I clearly needed it. The money was not the issue the fact that I have been mistreated time and time again as a customer spending my HARD EARNED MONEY THERE WHICH IS WHAT ALLOWS THEM TO FEED THERE FAMILIES to only be treated like a chump. I'm not ok...
