Its called a cafe but it feels like a cozy neighborhood diner. Almost every other guest i saw was recognised by name and regarded with warmth and attention despite getting busy. The staff worked together like clockwork and never lost their cool. There is a surpridingly large amount of seating with booths tables and counter stools. Plenty of options alongside a half dozen or so daily specials. And price/value was impressive. I loves me a deal. It seems like they do online orders (or phone in? ) as I saw s few folk just popping in to grab and go. . Food was great. Big chonky steak fries cooked perfect. I got a cafe burger (a burgermelt with cheese bacon tomato slices and i added sautee'd onions). And coleslaw. Everything was great. My buddy got the corned beef reuban which was good. Lil dry in spots be he ate it without issue. Definitely want to return and try their beer battered fish! :Update: july 2023 we came back early in the day so brunch it was. Everything was perfect. I got the Lumberjack with eggs over easy. My buddy got the corned beef hash and eggs (also over easy). I couldn't finish mine despite a solid display! Next time we get the fish. Oh and again, they were very busy but we got served quicks and food to the table in what felt only a few minutes! I've waited longer in most drive thru's!

Order ahead of time over the phone without issue, putting in for the Monte Cristo, Onion Rings, and a Garden Salad with Russian. When I arrived I was greeted by a waitress who was very excited for me to have my dinner, which actually got me excited to eat it. She exclaimed how hot everything was, how good the fries looked, and how yummy it smelled. That was a nice touch even if she was just playing it up. When I got home and dug into it all I was very satisfied. The salad wasn't too much with its size, which seems to be an issue for a lot of restaurants where the salad is treated like a meal itself. The onion rings were a little on the softer side then I like, but, they were jam packed with flavor. And the Monte Cristo was delicious, the swiss cheese, ham and turkey combo hugged by the soft and sweet french toast bread. The fries were as the waitress said, very good, crispy but with a tender inside and a solid potato flavor. Even the pickle skewer was fresh, and helped the fries go down. Overall for the rather cheap price of $28, I got a real banger of a meal!

Great food. Service on Sunday morning was a bit slow, but they were jamming and there was only 3 servers. Only got one refill of coffee and it was well over 30 minutes from the first cup and we were done eating out breakfast. Cups are also the smallest I've seen. Maybe 8 oz. Prices are fine. Pancakes are just freaking huge. French toast is perfect - and that's hard to do. It surprises me how fast the service is here sometimes. But sit closer to the front. It's cold by the door but you get a lot more coffee refills.

This is definitely the local watering hole; I've been coming here on and off for twenty years, and there are still familiar faces. That said, it suffers from its popularity--at peak times, or during some holidays, it can be hard to find seating; attend that if you're bringing a large party, and consider calling ahead. Note the hours, too; they close (what I would consider to be) relatively early. Service is very personable and reliably fast, making it an excellent place for a quick working lunch, or a place to meet someone passing through. The food is good--especially as standard diner fare goes--and more than reasonable for the price. Portions are especially generous for the pancakes and stir fry, and possibly others; expect to get two meals out of those. It's no spectacle of haute cuisine, but whether you're a local new or old, or just on your way to Saratoga, if you need a (quick) sit down meal, definitely try this place. You...
