The Grumpy Grizzly is a great alternative to same old Dunkin'/McDonalds routine. The storefront and interior is very well done with lots of handmade arts and crafts to look at. They have a great assortment of coffees, bagels and spreads which can quickly become overwhelming for some. I really would have liked to see a bigger menu posted on a board above the counter with more simple option and pricing (similar to the Angry Burrito). The breakfast sandwiches are set up to be build-your-own, with a majority of the toppings being 60āµ additional.
The staff were polite and attentive but unfortunately not very helpful. They simply direct you to the menu and wait for you to work your way through it. Which can be painfully daunting when the barista and other customers are waiting for you to make up your mind on what to order. I would highly recommend that customers check the menu before arriving in order to save time.
All in all this is a great little coffee and breakfast food shop that I believe has a lot of potential. I would definitely recommend adding some coffee house music ambiance and possibly a mobile ordering platform. I look forward to having...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have heard many things about this place and how terrible their customer service is but the food is good and yesterday my daughter had bought me a French Toast bagel which I use to get from the Dandy but they no longer have them so I was very happy that I was able to get one again. Today I wanted another one because I love them so much so I went in to get one and much to my surprise all the things I heard even from my daughter were exactly correct. You go in there and they act like they dont want to wait on you and ignore you or stare at you like your bothering them. I have no idea how this works as I have never been there and people were walking in right in front of me to the counter picking up call in orders not once did they say to me can I help you I had to go to the counter and ask if I could make an order and even then I got major attitude. Food is good customer service is not and sad to say even though they have my favorite bagel I will never be going back here again. Perhaps they need to get a job in which customer service is not there strong point because they sure did put the face to the name of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet's start with the good stuff. The inside is gorgeous. They have lots of cool stuff around for sale and the atmosphere is very nice. The food and drinks are also good. Now the bad stuff. I ordered a bagel and a lemonade and from order to getting it, I waited ten minutes. I was the second person in line behind a lady that got one coffee. Then I watched the baristas walk around a little, have a couple of personal conversations, chat with the people behind me, make and deliver their bagels then realize I'm standing there waiting for one bagel which has yet to be toasted. Good news, I got my lemonade. For about ten seconds. It was 85% ice. It's such a cute place and I'd bring friends here, but its frustrating to watch the pace. Please just toast my bagel, put two squirts of raspberry flavoring in my lemonade and send me...
