I stopped in today around noon for a Sunday brunch with my girlfriend, the place was small, and the tables are too close together it feels like other tables are in your personal space, unfortunately, this was the tip of the iceberg. # 1 I ordered coffee and the young waitress brought over black coffee and didn't offer or bring any milk or cream. # 2 Ordered a western omelet egg sandwich my regular order and it was gross, it was a lot worse than local competitors like Bun N a Burger, Hurricane Deli, Eckart's lunchnetee, Citarellis. # 3 Home fries were awful it was chunky potatoes barley cooked almost raw with little to no seasoning. # 4 My girlfriend's pancakes came with no butter. # 5 No ketchup was on the table or offered with my eggs. # 6 NO refills offered and no quality checks if we needed anything throughout our meal. # 7 The tall young lady waitress in red, nor any of the staff did not realize we finished our food and were waiting for the check...... this confused me because not only our waitress, but two other staff members were at the bar directly In front of us polishing their silverware.......facing directly at our table a few feet in front of them. It had been so long so me and my girlfriend pre pre-bussed are table and stacked the dirty finished dishes on our table and still no staff member noticed us for at least 20 minutes before I got up and approached them and asked for the check. They were too busy polishing there silverware to help us all three of the young ladies. Please you have been warned stay far away everything was awful....... I'm not sure what was worse the boring awful food, the crammed tight atmosphere, or the bare minimum style of service the young ladies run this place display.... Stay away...... go to Citarellis, bun n burger,...

Adorably quaint family owned spot that serves up delicious healthy solid portions of breakfast and lunch options. If you were looking for some frou frou sparkling water ladened uniformed wait staff white table cloth kind of experience here, then you truly don't belong here. However, if you want dishes that are home grown, not pretentious, solid and consistent with a staff who all are really friendly and actually smiling when they come to take your order, then look no further. Lots of locals coming and and ordering their fave dishes.
I loved their homemade biscuits with a thick sausage gravy, you can order a full order that comes with 4 biscuits or a half order with 2 biscuits generously topped with the best sawmill sausage gravy. Their cup of soup and half or whole sandwich combo is a great bang for the buck! The Split pea soup was really hearty and filling and the meatloaf sandwich on potato bread brought me back to a time in my youth when my friend's mom would make it for us as one of our weeknight dinner entrees. Basic Americana seasonings and flavors but still so freaking yummy. Their Philly cheese steak sammie has a perfect ratio of steak to onions/peppers to cheese to toasty hero bread.
Thankful to have a place so close by to our vacay spot for a great easy delicious homestyle eats. Eat local!...
Read moreI went there with my daughter today, Sunday, August 26, 2018. My daughter, who is vegan, didnât think there would be anything for her to eat, but knowing that I hadnât eaten stopped here for me. Itâs a small, old fashioned type luncheonette. I love tunafish sandwiches from a diner so I ordered that on rye toast. The tunafish salad was flavorless & a big disappointment. The cole slaw & pickle were not tasty at all. I took home the sandwich after eating a quarter of it so I can add celery, lettuce, & some vinegrette dressing. It wasnât expensive, but whatever the cost, I expect it to taste good. Maybe because we came late-it was about 25 minutes to closing & they didnât know us-they were rushed & didnât put forth their best effort. It was not a...
