Went to the firehouse restaurant last night at 5:00.

Such a vast menu. It's one of those places where you have to come back because you need to try other things. I always make sure that if someone's ordered something I try not to double order it so we can get a taste of everything. This time we did.

After everything we had and all of the meals. The consensus was you have to have the meatballs for the appetizer. They are great! We have the big pretzel as well but the meatballs were just better than everything. That's how I praise considering all the meals that were on the table.

I think the other one that people really loved was the salmon dish. The marinated steak for sure. The lobster roll was good but I would go with the steak instead. Oh and the French fries everyone loved the French fries that was the other thing that people really commented on at the table.

Atmosphere. It's really nice how the dining area is separated from the bar area. Although if I were dining here with just two people I would probably choose a high top in the bar area. Or the little cozy blue chairs in the corner with the fire hydrant as a table. I love that little spot.

There's also an outside back deck area which we didn't go out to but that looks like a nice place to sit as well. It's a standalone building so there's plenty of parking for you.

This is going to be a good place to go watch football for sure They have a lot of TVs and a really nice horseshoe-shaped bar. Lots of seating around.

If you're a fireman or like fire engines or anything fireman FDNY or any of that related this is the place for you especially if you have kids that love this kind of thing. I noticed that little kids that came in were given a little fireman's chief hat. As a kid I was obsessed with fire engines. So this would be a go-to for me if you had kids who like that kind of thing. There's plenty of things to look at

The tributes on the wall to the fallen son of the owners is just a wonderful wonderful thing the entire place is dedicated to his sacrifice and the sacrifice of so many others that hold us safe and time of emergency.

Have the meatballs as an advertiser and have the salmon or steak and you will be pleasantly surprised.

They also had a list of really fun martinis my niece had a pistachio one which I didn't get a picture of I'm sorry I didn't because it looked delicious with little chopped up pistachio nuts along the rim. Just a nice touch.

I love the front door handle that it's a fireman's hook integrated into the opening. And all the little details in the patches inside Oh you're going to have a good time just looking around.

Really nice job renovating this! Congratulations It's a nice place! Nice tribute to Joey. You should...

Well just came back from Texas Roadhouse after another good meal. It's nice to have them close. We started with a drink at the new Firehouse Restaurant as we miss Hartlin's and want this place to work for us. It's gonna be hard for that to happen. It wasn't 5pm yet so we took the table under the TV. There were maybe 8 people at the bar and a couple at the short hydrant table. I asked Riley the bartender for 2 vodka clubs with lemons. She grabbed 2 pint glasses and I said we like the cylindrical glasses instead and she said oh you want singles. I was gonna wait for "em at the bar but she said she'd serve us at the table. She brought the drinks with limes instead of lemons. As I pointed this out to her she said no problem and picked the limes out and returned with lemons. As we were drinking the vodka clubs we looked at the menus and deciced we'd like to hit roadhouse. I asked for the bill and another server delivered a bill for 2 Titos and seltzer for 18 and change. I went over to the bar and told Riley the bill was off by 6 bucks. She said I asked for Titos. I've never asked for Titos ever. I enjoy the well vodka that they use. It's a crisper taste than the ones she served. After a little back and forth a guy at the bar, that was talking the time we were there with Riley said not for nothing, but I heard you order Titos. I told him that's not what I said. I've never ordered Titos, not ever. He said I did and stood up to clarify himself. I saw his look and said if you wanna swing your hands, swing 'em. My wife indvertainly got in between us to be peacemaker, she's a good woman, but I told her let him be. More words were passed getting others involved and it was escalating until Cassidy told us all to chill. We were chill, I just don't like being charged for a product I didn't order or want. We drank what was presented to us after ordering. We're both older now and I might not have been smart telling the younger bigger guy to swing and calling him a liar. But the Irish blood in me won't be bullied or intimidated. It shouldn't have to be patronizing a new establishment we were anxiously awaiting to open. I guess we won't be regulars there after all. We will miss Meghan the bartender though, she gave us what we ordered with no...

I’m a Yelper so this isn’t my first review. I’ve eaten at the Fire House twice and both were enjoyable dining experiences. The establishment is over a year old now and both my visits were within the last 6 months which included a lunch and a dinner. The food was good, while the menu wasn’t too elaborate, you could see the focus was to add a little extra something to each dish and push the ordinary to the exceptional. The garlic ricotta sauce over the meat ball appetizer (must have) made the app stand out above other restaurant’s meatball app. Also, the home-made sauces for the duck and salmon helped push those meals over the top. Service was as fast as could be on both occasions. Ambience was mixed, the lunch visit was Cheers-like , everyone was friendly and spoke across the bar with occasional interaction with the owners. You definitely felt welcome. The evening was fine, the dinner music wasn’t too loud and the murmur of chatter was limited probably due to the mouths being occupied with food. The entire experience was swellegant and is all wrapped up in a bow as the incentive to build this restaurant was to preserve the memory of Joseph DiBernardo, a fallen firefighter who perished on Black Sunday. The décor and memorabilia, while very intriguing, is a tribute to he and all other firefighters. The best desert was the warmth you felt when feeling thankful for those...
