Tiki Joe's (Sunsets at Cedar Beach) — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

My husband and I were married at Tiki Joe's at Cedar Beach in September 2021, and the experience was absolutely perfect!

This was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had our ceremony on the beach where there was a beautiful ocean view, and our reception was on the deck overlooking the sunset.

Bridget and her staff are amazing, and they helped us throughout the final planning process and answered all the questions I had until the day of. They were very professional, nice, and easy to talk to. Bridget worked with my wedding coordinator to make sure the day of my wedding went smoothly, and it did!

The day of my wedding could not have been more perfect. Bridget and her staff took great care of us. Right after the ceremony, they made sure we had some food and drinks before the reception started. My husband and I had the best day of our lives, and we got so much great feedback from our guests. Some even said it was the best wedding they’ve been to!

Note to the management: You can’t take a reservation on the phone and then when your guests arrive say “we’re not taking reservations today and you have to wait for a table.” 😳 THAT’S how it went down. And the manager was very rude when I explained that I was a friend of the band and that’s why I called and made a reservation. He said “did you say you were with the band?” And I said “I’m not WITH the band, I came here to SEE the band.” And he said “so did everyone else here.” And I said “yes but THEY didn’t call and make a reservation - I DID!” Beyond that I ordered a martini but they didn’t have olives. What BAR doesn’t have olives?! Beyond THAT the food was mediocre at best and very expensive. I don’t mind paying more for good food but this was snack bar food at best. Ordered the mussels which were disgusting. Fish and chips, grilled salmon, cobb salad all just ok. The location is amazing as was the band but under no circumstances should there be bad customer...

Last week, 6 of us wanted to enjoy a nice sunset and meal at the beach. The weather was great but we cannot say the same for the service and food at Tiki Joes. Standing at the bar with 5 people behind the bar and we could not get one bartender to look up to even notice us for a drink. STRIKE ONE! We were seated and a lovely waitress helped us with our order. The food came out and we were extremely disappointed as the lobster rolls weren’t even filled to the top of the bun, the fish taco had one small tiny piece of fish that didn’t fill the taco shell, and the chicken sandwich was on the burnt side. STRIKE TWO! When we got the bill it was astronomical!! We could have gone to a nicer restaurant for that kind of money. We did not even get comped for a drink after the server accidentally spilled muscle juice all over my friend. STRIKE THREE!! Such a disappointment. Way over priced, poor service at the bar, and small portions will not bring us back there. ...
