The Roundabout Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Buchanan

Our first time here and it was a Friday night, so we went for a fish lunch. We got there around 5:15pm and sat in the back dining area. Pretty informal, a sign said seat yourself. We found a table away from the side door entrance (could feel code air anytime someone came in) We were greeted by a waitress and told to sit where ever we wanted. She got our drink order right away and took our order after bringing the drinks. We both ordered the perch plate that came with bread and a side. We picked the season fries. It was only 5-10 minutes later and a guy was walking toward us with food. I said that can't be ours, we just ordered, but it was. The meal came with 4 full butterflies of nice sized perch and a plate full of curly fries. The food was great and the coleslaw and tarter sauce was also very good. When we left at around 6:00pm, the place had filled up most of the tables, but their food seemed to come out pretty quickly. Excellent waitress, vary friendly. We'll be coming back.

Update, We did come back the next Friday and everything about the food is still right on. This visit was not as good for the service. We were there at about 5:15pm. The waitress came right away and we gave her our drink order and our food order. The drinks didn't come and I asked another waitress to check. They came with a sorry, then no follow up as we ate. The place was getting busier. Had to ask another waitress for drink refills, another sorry, then we had to wait for the check and a last sorry. I had an unforgettable evening at Roundabout Bar and Grill, thanks to the phenomenal Bartender Shauna and their mouthwatering Baked Haddock! Shauna was an absolute delight—her vibrant personality and expert mixology skills made every moment at the bar a joy. She whipped up some fantastic cocktails, offering spot-on recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal. Her warmth and attentiveness made us feel like regulars, even on our first visit. The Baked Haddock was nothing short of spectacular—flaky, tender, and baked to perfection with a flavorful, crispy topping that had just the right balance of seasonings. It was clear the dish was crafted with fresh ingredients and a lot of care, making it one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever tasted. Paired with the sides, it was a meal to remember. Customer service communication is polite. They are very willing to help you and to answer any of your questions/concerns. GREAT BURGERS! GREAT FOOD ALL AROUND! We found the best bar food establishment around that area.

Because we enjoyed the food and customer service last time, we called to place our to go order. The female who answered the phone was so impersonal. She was rather impatient when we asked a question about any menu items. When it came to ordering our wings; we asked what they had for sauces and she said them so fast it was like one long sauce...she didn't even breathe. Not kidding. I did NOT hear one word she said. Of course, I asked her to say them again, but slower. Oh boy, it was such a hassle she had to exhale out loud. With an attitude, she listed them off like I was mentally incompetent. Plus the food wasn't the greatest...over cooked and under cooked hamburgers. We will look for a different establishment...
