I had the Endless Soup n Side Salad for $9.95. Its Friday, and they offered clam chowder- my absolute favorite. I was really looking forward to the soup as I was literally starving as I hadn't eaten due to work since a light lunch the previous day. The soup arrived and I was a little shocked as it looked like a Dairy Queen Concrete Mixer it was so incredibly thick. Still I took a bite and it sort of tasted like clam chowder, but really kind of tasted like nothing really. I looked at the side salad and saw pretty wilted lettuce, a lot of that lettuce core that's white, but this stuff had brown in it. It's almost as if, it was a side salad from earlier in the day and sat in the fridge for a long time. Fresh is most definitely NOT how I would describe my salad. Still I was starving, so I ate my soup and picked through the salad. When everyone was done eating and we were just sitting there, our waiter finally re-appeared after a very long absence and asked if I wanted more. I politely declined as it would have been rude to ask for more when all of us had finished for last 20 minutes. It was nice of him to actually ask if I wanted more though. No. It was not remotely busy being the only table in our area. Maybe the other side was packed? But it didn't sound like a packed restaurant. My companions did enjoy their meals, so I'll give them that. Overall it was an...
Read moreMy wife and I have been here twice. The first time we had an appetizer of Buffalo wings, and entrees of the breakfast burger with hashbrowns and the pulled pork with sweet potato fries.
The wings and pulled pork were terrific. Both were some of the best we've had. The hashbrowns were above average. The sweet potato fries had very little sweet potato taste. Overall, the food is definitely above average. No issues with that. The prices are okay and the portions are decent.
The server was a bit over the top. He liked to literally shout to his customers and couldn't remember who ordered what or where his tables were. When he took our order and dropped it off, he was courteous and seemed to be trying. I chalked it up to him being new (hopefully) and we considered the first visit to be good enough to visit again.
So we came back tonight (April 20th) at 7:40p CST (included the date and time to assist management if they wish to improve). The restaurant was about half full and we could see several servers. We stood in the front area, in front of the "Please wait to be seated sign" for 10 minutes without anyone stopping by. That is a long time for no employees to check on the front area.
We ended up leaving and will not be returning. The food is good, but the service is terrible. It's...
Read moreThe food was bland everything needed salt. Both my kids ordered medium burgers, both got rare, both said fries were too hard. Wife tried stuffed chicken and said it was super dry and bland and she didn't want the fries at all. I ordered half rack of ribs and steak fries, ribs were dry and they just put raw sauce on top and didn't even try to hide it. The steak fries were were way over cooked. We ordered potato skins for an appetizer they scooped out an 8th of an inch of potato put a pinch of bacon, a pinch of onion and a pinch of cheese with a little cup of sour cream. The worst is the waitress seemed to want us to leave as soon as possible. Took plates away without asking and gave us the bill without bothering to ask if we wanted dessert. The clientele were just as rude, staring and gocking rednecks. I hate to think about how they treat non-white people. Totally disgusting from parking to dining to restroom to door. Shame on them. Windsor just a white...
