Stella: A Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Busti

We got to Stella’s right as they opened at 5 and double checked that we wouldn’t need a reservation. Open Table showed us multiple reservations available between 5:15 and 6, so we assumed we’d be okay walking in. The manager(?) at the hostess stand was incredibly rude. She acted very put off that we had walked in. We mentioned that several reservations were available, but were told that “that doesn’t matter” as she continued to act annoyed that we had asked for a table. A server came over and spoke to her and she eventually relented and told us we could sit on the deck. There were many tables available even as we were leaving an hour later.

Thankfully, after that really off-putting reception, everything else was excellent. Our server, Nathan, was amazing. We had the whipped ricotta appetizer, chicken Marsala, and the jaegerschnitzel; all of it was perfectly made and we loved our dinners. Overall, it’s a good restaurant, but the experience was definitely dampened by the manager(?)...

First I Want To Say.. I accept your apology and actually I understand. It is very difficult to find people to show up for service appointments. When we return to town we will stop back. Thankyou for explaining and humbly owning up. We appreciate that.

We are in town about once per month. The first time in the food and service were perfect. This time hot food was warm (not hot) and dry. Salad was not cold as salad should be. A.C. was not cool. Rather warm. I noticed someone else reviewed the a.c. as not being at a comfortable level along with a "hit and miss" performance on the food.

Quality, consistent, well prepared food in a comfortable environment should be a constant. No excuses. Especially when prices are high. We were not asked if we were pleased but we did voice our concern with the Waitress. Apparently the owner didn't care. We did not...

We went there for my wife’s birthday on a Saturday night and enjoyed our experience. Our server was cordial and attentive without being annoying. I got the she crab soup and a rainbow trout special and loved it all, my wife Was very happy with her meal as well.

The place was clean and the decor was interesting, however, the one thing I will ding them on a little bit was how dark the restaurant got. It went from bright and friendly to dark and private like you would find at a stodgy old 1970s joint.

The other small thing was they asked if it was a special occasion for my reservation and I informed them it was my wife’s birthday and nothing else ever came of it. That’s not a big deal, though. Overall, I...
