Pizza Land - Caledonia — Restaurant in Town of Caledonia

On the road home, no dinner & heading towards Avon from Batavia, we ordered a pizza at 8:45 pm for pick up. Shocked that they answered & took our order, the guy told me it would be ready in 10 min. (Really??) I told him we were 20 min away, paid in advance so they could close out. We actually got there in 23 min... 9:08pm. I was handed my pizza & a guy cleaning the prep station said, "that's going to cost you double. We're closed." I understand everyone wants to get home, but they have to clean after they close. Time that should be factored into work hours. The pizza is cooked & boxed. Is it Really so difficult to be customer oriented & be true to your hours? If you want to leave at 9:00, then post hours for 8:30. Take your last order at 8:30 & start cleaning once that last pizza is in the oven. It's truly that simple. Pizza Land Caledonia & Avon have become notorious for their poor closing attitude (I can't say about LeRoy, I don't order there). It's a shame. It's driving people away from a fabulous, popular pizza! I'm giving a 4 star review, though, because the pizza was terrific! Better than we've been getting in Avon. Crust cooked perfectly, not burnt or nearly burnt. There was a nice layer of sauce & all the way out to the edges. Cheese & toppings on the whole pizza, not 3/4 of it. If this remains consistent, we might be traveling to Caledonia for our PL pizza from now on. For what you lack in poor business acumen, you redeemed yourselves in a great pizza, gentleman!...

We ordered 2 large chicken finger subs, one had country sweet the other had ranch. We opened the subs and one sub had no sauce and the other had both ranch and country sweet. We called Pizza Land to tell them there was a mistake and would like them remade or have a refund. We then we were questioned about the subs and were told they talked to whoever made the subs and they were done right. Again they were not done right as I was looking right at the subs. We were told if we wanted new subs it would be 30 mins after we already waited that long for our original subs. We asked for a refund since we had plans and couldn’t wait. We were told if we wanted a refund we would have to bring in our original subs and get the refund in person (we paid by card). We proceeded to go to pizza land for our refund and I walk in and they are talking about the situation (not nicely which then made me feel uncomfortable). One worker said the chicken fingers would be done for our new subs in a few minutes and I said I couldn’t wait and would still like a refund. He then said he had dibs on one of our subs. We have always ordered from Pizza Land and have been pleased but lately it has gone down hill from our past orders. We will not be supporting pizza land unfortunately after...

Pizza Land has great food. The pizza is juicy and the wings taste great. Well, they tasted great until I saw them drop food on the floor and continue to put it in the deep frier. Either way, hopefully they keep their pizza toppings on the dough because I love getting their slices at lunch time. I'm there nearly every day. I highly recommend this place if you don't mind playing roulette with the floor-dirt. I don't mind playing roulette with floor-dirt if the staff is very friendly, but they're not. They're often rude, but not always.

I can't really recommend any pizza place in Caledonia, because Daffies is full of extremely rude people, particularly the owner. Plus, you never know if your food will taste good or not.

My recommendation is to get off your lazy butt and place an order at Gunsmoke and go get it. I don't work for them or know anyone that works there, it's just my recommendation based on food quality. However, they don't have pizza. But they have Quick Draw, so...
