Had my sister’s baby shower here. Beautiful place, great food, friendly service. All around good experience! Reason for 1 star rating is because staff (young twenties/teenage) were instructed to start cleaning up while we were finishing up and mingling. We still had at least an hour of rental time for the party. It was not necessary to start clean up at the time. They were cleaning up tables and took my plate of untouched cupcakes I put to the side (for me and my other sister) before I helped my sister with her gifts. By the time I got back to my seat after she opened her gifts, they were gone. I brought my daughter her toddler silverware she used to eat. I left them on the paper towel I brought them in on the side of my plate next to the untouched cupcakes thinking they would be safe there. They may have been covered by my napkin but they were also gone when I returned to my seat. Didn’t notice they weren’t tossed in the diaper bag until later in the day. The following morning my mother had emailed to ask about them to which the reply was they would look for them. I’m going to assume they were tossed because they clearly didn’t belong to the restaurant and there is no where else they would have gone. All in all, good experience but I’m still upset that they were moving tables and cleaning up while we were loading the cars. Honestly, was kind of rude to be doing that while we still had time to be there. There was no one waiting to eat at the restaurant so I don’t understand the rush to put everything back to normal before we were done. Add in the cupcakes and my daughter’s silverware going missing and my overall experience...

Wine list was small and mostly stuck with the big brands, but is also clearly very intentional and is perfectly within those intentions. I did not get a chance to look at the cocktail or beer menus, but I overheard something about a Crème Brûlée Martini that sounded pretty intriguing, wish I was able to try it! The bread they bring to the table was possibly the best thing I have ever eaten, and the Sweets & Beats salad was fantastic and balanced. It was kind of difficult, as well as heartbreaking, to deconstruct the salad from its tartare-esque presentational form, but well worth the effort to get to eat all that good-good together! Veal Parmesan for dinner left a lot to be desired. Sorry Baby Cow, you went through all that torture just to be served chewy, rubbery, with bland sauce and severely overcooked linguine. All the other meals at the table looked like they were prepared, or at least plated, with care, and everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their meals. The Potato Croquettes, not as disappointing as the Veal, were still bland and pretty flavorless. I didn't tempt myself with the dessert menu because we were kind of in a hurry. The restaurant also seemed very accommodating to kids and babies (thank you!). I left with a full belly, a little tipsy, and quite satisfied.
edit: have since been back multiple times and it's been...
Read moreTook the wife here for dinner last Friday night. It was our first time there. It's a really cool place. Inside, the restaurant has a classy rustic setting. Lots of woodwork. Cool bar area separate from most of the dining area. My kind of place. Wife had the Shrimp Paparadelle. I had the Steak Balmorale. Both dishes were excellent. Steak was prepared perfectly as ordered. They have a few of the better Finger Lakes wines at the bar which was a pleasant surprise for us being NYS wine fans. Cocktails were good. Wine and wine list was good (reasonable wines not overly pricey). Service was very good. Waitress was knowledgeable, attentive and had a cheerful demeanor. Prices were reasonable. Well worth your drive here even if you live a little ways away. We had a very nice night out. Highly recommended. We plan to go back and try their fish fry on...
