NOW before being upset of this review let's understand for 10 years plus my family and friends have always praised your eatery .so what happened . first it was the bacon some 5 or so years ago. wasn't the same. asked cook on way out and he acknowledged it was different and will be going back to the usual bacon .next thing a few years later your once had very good coffee ,thats gone and now is like watered down what ever you wish to call it. not to far back if you wanted well done home fries ,dark toast and eggs over well you always got it .recently good luck after three attempts. once a bi weekly customer for years with only cheers is now a do not go too on my list . I very recently went there with someone and hoping it was a fluke. no fluke . toast like bread that was ready for making a sandwich, not eating it with your egg yokes .barley cooked very runny eggs,the bacon was spot on but the home fries were not well done and lack maybe diced onions or whatever. tasteless just as the watered down lack of flavor coffee . this is your life, you do as you wish .you worked hard and had a well liked establishment.the golden rule to any business is when you have it down pat don't play with a winning hand . your grasping at cards and your losing your following . think i'm wrong, keep doing what your doing. now is this once loyal customer sending me a wake-up call ? you bet I am . LETS START WITH THE LAST REVIEW!!! My fiancé Steph and I along with the kids. Absolutely LOVE this Family owned and operated restaurant. It is by leaps and bounds the best tastiest most home made tasting breakfast I’ve ever had ( I’m 38 btw). I do not work for George’s Place nor do I have any financial incentives to write this review just a loyal customer looking to stick up for our families favorite mom and pop spot. The flow of the service and the flavor and consistency of the quality of the food is evident. Instead of talking smack about a teen that is....HMMM.....working serving people during Covid? Instead of being a “lazy teen” maybe you give the kid some credit for being responsible and trying to hold a job even during a pandemic. Please the person saying these things was just mad at the world and needed to vent their frustrations out on someone. You also make sure to talk smack about a persons inability to speak English? Again you should stop and ask yourself how much courage does it take to answer a phone knowing you will struggle with communication? Maybe you change your way of thinking instead of trying to put people down. Went here on the weekend for breakfast. It was packed, but a booth opened up as we arrived. We were seated at a wet table, but at least it was, hopefully, it was clean. It was very cramped and loud. We came here because we purchased 2 gift certificates, so we ordered some food. Service felt rushed. We received our food and it was just ok, nothing special. When we went to pay our bill we were informed that they no longer accept the certificates! What a waste! We only came here because of that reason. We paid the full amount and then spent hours trying to resolve the issue about the money we wasted for the certificates! If a business is selling certificates, then they should accept the ones already sold and then discontinue it. Not the best business practice to waste people's time and money - having them come then not accepting what you sold them and then having to pay full price and have the aggravation of attempting to get your money back - which doesn't happen. Would not recommend due to just ok food and very poor...
