Last Monday evening we took a group of 19 to She Sings upon the recommendation of some locals. Our group had traveled to the area that day from east central Ohio and were looking forward to a good meal and what we thought would be an evening of music and entertainment. Reservations had been made and the restaurant was expecting us. We were seated at a long table between the door to the kitchen and the ladies restroom. Our seating was very tight with most people feeling pretty squished in. Those on the end felt as though we were inhibiting the wait staff from getting out from the kitchen into the dining area and constantly felt in the way. We were seated and then sat for quite some time before being greeted by the waitress and given menus. Eventually an additional waitress was asked to also assist with our table and our drink orders were taken. One side of the table received their drinks quickly while the other side of the table waited an additional 10-15 minutes to be served. After quite some time our food orders were taken. Most of the meals when finally served seemed to be ok although there were several who complained that while the food tasted fine it was cold and some were unable to eat it. A couple people got shrimp cocktail that tasted ok but the shrimp were room temperature and not chilled at all. The additional waitress assigned to the party did a fantastic job trying to serve food and check on us but the initial waitress was barely present and did little to assist us. What we thought would be an evening of music ended up being maybe 3-5 songs at most as the singer was up taking care of other unhappy guests, serving food, retrieving used dishes, etc. There were several other tables there that evening and I realize we were a large party but I do not feel they were staffed appropriately for the evening. Again the food itself for the most part was good. I feel that this place has potential but was not...
Read more2nd edit...if I had read your Google reviews before coming to your restaurant I would not have even attempted. For further information...it's very disturbing that all you do is go after your customers for bad reviews. Honestly lady...we don't have any food to review so just be glad about that.
You upset a 13 month old girl wearing cute overalls. Super exited for breakfast. She loves pancakes and her mother loves sausage gravy so we were pumped to try a local spot.
Why do you attack potential customers? We were there. Obviously there's no record. We were there since you didn't take our money or even our order LOL. What are you even talking about lady?
EDIT! UM WHAT? YOU HAD A SERVER WITH BROWN LONG HAIR AND TATTOOS. YOU DIDN'T SPEAK TO US. YOU WERE NOT NEAR US. WE WERE SEATED BY THE MENS BATHROOM IN THE CORNER. THERE WAS A REALLY CUTE ELDERLY COUPLE NEAR US THE SECOND BOOTH OVER ADMIRING HOW CUTE OUR BABY WAS AND TALKING TO HER TRYING TO HELP ENTERTAIN HER FOR LIKE 10 MINUTES. WHY DON'T YOU REVIEW YOUR CAMERAS SINCE THAT'S ALL YOU DO IN YOUR COMMENTS IS TALK ABOUT THE CAMERAS THAT YOU LIKE TO REVIEW MY FIANCE WAS WEARING GYM SHORTS AND WE HAD A JOGGING STROLLER WITH A BABY IN IT IT'S KIND OF HARD TO MISS THAT REBECCA. We went for the first time with our one year old daughter on Sunday. It wasn't that busy at all. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. It was weird. We weren't greeted or anything the server kept just ignoring us. Finally we were seated. Given menus...that's the end of it....we left after NOBODY ever came back to the table. We waited over 30 minutes with an antsy baby in her stroller. She was being good but we were just really hungry for breakfast so we had to leave. Nobody said a word when we got up and started packing our stuff. Never even took the drink order. Too bad it's a cute...
Read moreI really want to support local spots, and we actually came here after leaving another local restaurant, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, my wife and I walked away disappointed.
I ordered eggs sunny side up with wheat toast, and my wife got eggs over easy with toast as well. My eggs came out undercooked and still quite slimy. It wasn’t a huge deal, just looked like they came off the griddle a little early. I asked if they could be redone, and the staff was pleasant and accommodating, which I appreciated.
About 10 minutes later the eggs came back, but the toast was missing. When it finally arrived about 5 minutes later, it was white bread instead of the wheat I originally ordered. By that point, my wife had already finished her breakfast, and I was feeling pretty frustrated.
The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, maybe 7 or 8 tables full, so the slow service and small missteps felt more like a result of disorganization. After we asked for our check, it took another 10 minutes to get it. While we waited, I noticed some ongoing communication issues among staff. Our server had to circle back to tables to retake drink orders that were already given to someone else.
What stood out most was that the owner was actively engaging in thoughtful conversations with other tables, which is great to see, but she never checked in with us, even when clearing our plates.
To be honest, I really like what the current owner has done with the space since reopening a couple of years ago, and I’m excited about the new deck that’s under construction. But based on this visit, the food and service just aren’t quite where they need to be. Right now, She Sings wouldn’t be my first pick when I think of great food and great service, but I’m hopeful...
