I had the worst experience. Myself, two friends and a minor sat in the back dining area. My friend decided to purchase an $8 takeout for the minor because she eats small portions and the $18 would’ve been a complete waste. The same lady said that the minor had to leave if she ordered takeout. In front of the employees, I explained to her they’d assume we’d be giving her more food if she stayed and they’d be watching us (which was accurate). We then sat down and the uncomfortable staring began...There were 3 workers in our section (when there's usually only one) that stared at us to the point where their heads were sticking out. One particular worker with a short, blonde cut pretended to push in an ALREADY PUSHED IN CHAIR to only look at the minor's plate and walk away with the chair crooked.
I was so fed up with the constant walk by-and-stares that I stared back. I then asked for a refill with ginger ale.... but another guy gave me sprite instead and charged me $2. We didn’t even finish round 2 and the check came. When we came to the counter, one of the employees spoke to the cashier, then she asked, “who got ginger ale?”. The receipt said, “Soda”, how would she know what drink was ordered!?”. I will no longer give this business my BLACK money. I was even stared at when ordering takeout....regardless, I’m paying for how much food I take! Anyhow, I will report this to the owner and the Health Dept. for the uncleanliness (the elderly employee digging in his butt, then fixing the trays, dried up food, dirty tables...
Read moreI'm usually not a fan of buffets, however have to say I was very impressed with this place. It was $24.95 for adults on the weekend. We were debating whether to come here or not but decided to give this place a shot. This place was already very busy on a Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Seafood galore! If you like shellfish or seafood this is your place! They have Cajun boiled seafood, ginger scallion crabs, fried shrimps, fried calamari, all your other Chinese stable, and even a sushi bar! I have to say everything was actually really fresh! I was very impressed by how tasty and fresh their Ginger and scallion crabs were. What really also so stood out was how good their sushi was. I'm not talking about omakase good but it was actually better than a lot of sushi places for takeout that I have been to. Their are rice was nice and chewy, not too soft and not too hard and the insides was full with flavors. The fried calamari, fried shrimps, fried vegetable spring roll, chicken broccoli were all very tasty. I was honestly impressed by the high turnover rate and how fresh everything was. Service was decent.
Honestly the great spot, definitely do check this place out if you want to stuff your face...
Read moreIt's been a few years since we've eaten here as buffets and dieting aren't exactly compatible. But as a holiday splurge we decided to go in for dinner. And fortunately or unfamiliar, it was like coming home. Our welcome was warm and it was communicated effectively despite my lack of fluency in any Chinese dialect. Because dinners here are crowded, the food is refreshed frequently and comes out of the kitchen hot and kept that way on the steam tables. While you don't go to a buffet expecting haute cuisine, the food is consistently good and the variety is excellent. In addition to the expected meats there are quite a number of seafood dishes and enough vegetarian dishes, salads and bean curd dishes. Desserts include self serve ice cream, puddings, fruits and several less than delicious cake options. They are also generous with drink refills (drink more-eat less). There's no alcohol available. For about $25 per person Hard Wok is a satisfying option and...
